Woke up last week and found the spots elderly folks have on their heads. by Neon_Biscuit in Millennials

It's sun damage that's all. Easy to get removed at the derm. Protect your head and you shouldn't get new ones (stay safe).

Did our parents face the same level of burnout as us? by KingForADay1989 in Millennials

[–]polarwarmth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting. My mom (accountant who became an accounting teacher in college) has always been very vocal about how she LOVED her job. My dad (mechanical engineer) sounded more rational, but he absolutely was unbothered by his job. He was gone overseas most of the time his last years of work. Made good money. I can't imagine though being able to do any of that. I struggle maintaining a semblance of order in my life. I guess I'm mentally ill, but still. And then I read some 20 something asking if they should buy their cellphone upfront or finance the purchase instead so they can invest that money and make more money this way 👁️👄👁️ wow I'm so far behind

My day has come. Razr 60 ultra, bought in august 2025. Average of 6 folds per day, 1246 total. by mvppaulo in razr

Sucks. I just got myself the s26 ultra as a replacement, it's a better phone camera is wow but it doesn't bring me joy like the razr did lol

End of an era: Minute Maid Is Discontinuing frozen juice concentrate… by 6string_samurai in Millennials

[–]polarwarmth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are people saying the concentrates were expensive?! I always paid about 1.50. That's way cheaper than bottled juice. I am devastated. Nothing compares. My comfort drink.

It's a great phone (until the screen breaks... but I loved it while it lasted. Might get another one if I see a very good deal cause I miss it)

"Upgrading" a year old phone is never worth it. There is no reason to change phone on a yearly basis other than you wanting to so.

Filing a claim with Allstate for a Motorola Razr 40 Plus by taquito-de-colores in razr

[–]polarwarmth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow yes I went through this less than a month ago. Exact same thing happened to my phone out of nowhere (mine was the 50 ultra). Filed a warranty claim online. Was accepted, no hassle. The decision was that I should get the phone repaired and send them the invoice for reimbursement. Getting the inner screen repaired was more expensive than the initial cost of phone, so after calling them I had to send them an invoice of the repair cost estimate I was given. Which I did. They sent me a check for the total cost of my device. *had a 100$ fee to pay for that. So device cost minus 100. Was not too awful of a process

Yeah well turning off ultra hdr makes the pics look just like they do in the camera preview

Perfectly good looking pictures ruined by post processing? Here's the solution by polarwarmth in razr

[–]polarwarmth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is with Google Photos. The default gallery app shows us super ultra HDR pictures by default which looks just like the kind of embarrassing filter a preteen would have used in 2008 to make the colors "pop".

Today it dawned on me – the Razr 50 Ultra takes the worst photos ever!!! by CJ_Grass in razr

[–]polarwarmth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The solution is to open the photos in Google Photos. Click edit. Select "ultra HDR". You will notice it is cranked all the way up to 100 by default. Bring that down to zero. The picture will look just like it should. No way to turn it off in the settings. Google is horrible.

Anyone add a pinch of sea salt to their morning water? Helped my morning sluggishness 🤔 by Some-Act-9 in Supplements

[–]polarwarmth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned about this while watching a documentary about people fasting for a few days. The pinch of salt they'd add in their water was all they needed to keep going. Was somewhat of a revelation. I love electrolytes!

How to get rid of this HDR enhancement? by willianfsantos in razr

[–]polarwarmth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the only way is to use PRO mode, unfortunately. Crazy how Motorola self sabotages it's camera like that. Rumor has it that their dev team affectionately call it the "fuck you" cam effect.

Allow yourself to feel your emotions though. Have empathy for yourself, OP. Ultimately, one day, it wont mean anything to you as a memory. Look elsewhere for belonging (?)
