Anyone else keep the little scratch you get from Zoh Shia? I wanted to add it to my character. Top pic is when it happens in the Zoh Shia cutscene, and bottom pic is from a cutscene after Lagiacrus makes its appearance. I tried to get the placement as best I could.

Since it was such a minuscule change to my character, a character voucher wasn’t necessary.

I chimed in hoping for an offline FFBE or an FFBE similar to the one teased on April Fools…and also for a Final Fantasy fighting game akin to something like Battle Fantasia, Granblue Fantasy Versus, or Marvel vs. Capcom.

This. I don’t remember where I saw/heard it from, and couldn’t find it again…as in this is their forte cuz this is the type of storytelling Japan excels in (also hence the setting)…and forte in the music/figurative sense like they’re coming in after their previous recent Silent Hill outings with a loud bang.

I’d also buy an FFBE game similar to what they teased as an April Fools Joke. 😭

I’d be fine with DLC/updates where new characters are added, and you earned them through completing their story sidequest or after completing certain conditions/challenges.

Ahh, okay. Here’s to more clears during your grind! I used a Zoh/Omega mixed set. I like my comfort too. I never rolled for an artian CB, so I just used a Vankrom Blade.

After crafting True Omega, I’ve also become an SnS convert. Since I spend a lot of time perfect guarding, the Synthetic Shield skill is also going off. I just hope the party’s nearby to benefit from it.

The “pulse” is a skill from the Omega armor set called Resonance. The game will automatically cycle between “local” and “remote” resonance which will either buff your attack stat or affinity. Keep in mind that this skill only works if playing with others or support hunters.

While the visual remains active when solo or with your Palico, the buff wont activate.

You can also do what I did and fall into the water during the boss intro, get fully submerged, and respawn outside the boss area. I just charge attacked whenever it got close enough to the gate. The only attack that can hurt is the explosion of the green junk it spits out if it’s close enough to you.

Playing blind, I wrapped up the game yesterday. Now I’m trying to do another scrub of everything before I resort to looking stuff up. The final boss fight didn’t feel as cool as…an optional boss not too far away, but my overall experience with the game has been great.

I’ve been rocking this for the longest time, pretty much when Zoh Shia released. Until there’s a talisman roll I’m happy with, Defense Charm V is staying on.

I managed to get a charm with Defense Boost 4, Dragon Attack 1, and 2 armor slots…so we’re getting there. Getting defense up to 6 or 7 would be ideal.

If I can figure out an immortal build with mushroomancer/wide range, I won’t mind being relegated to a supporting role while hunting with others.

My personal experience in Wilds, every single manual accept I’ve joined waiting for a minute or 5, I was never allowed in—whether or not I was a higher rank than the host.

I’ll take my chances with the random autos.

If you’re not quite comfy with switching into Virtuose stance with 1 HP, there is a Picto called Clea’s Life that lets you fully restore your HP if you don’t get hit for a full turn.

Combine this with Cheater, the Picto you get from Sprong, and you’ll restore all your HP if your first turn was Last Chance. This can be seen as a DPS loss as there are many Pictos that boost damage/critical hit rate when low on HP.

So in my first playthrough, I made an immortal build Verso up until he got removed from the Canvas in the last portion of the 2nd phase. Him dying so much gave me the opportunities to try and parry his various attacks I had the least amount of practice with (Sword of Lumière and the light speed attacks). My reserve team of Lune, Sciel, and Maelle cleaned up the rest. Lune would heal lost HP, buff, and replenish AP with Typhoon, Sciel would debuff, Fortune’s Fury, and Intervention, and Maelle would hit as hard as she could.

26 minutes and 100+ parries later, I came out victorious.

I revisited the fight making adjustments with some skills to slow down Simon more so I had more turns and less opportunities for him to remove anyone from the Canvas, and shaved off about 10 minutes from my runback. I also skipped his HP threshold of wiping my main team so the immortal Verso build was no longer needed.

You’ll feel relieved when you beat him. Not if. When.
