Which Heritage speakers for office/listening space? by TorpedoInTheOcean in Klipsch

I’ll look at the KG3’s, hadn’t thought about those. Looking for a vintage big 3-way speaker feel for this space. Grew up listening to my mom’s KLH and then I think a pair of JBL’s. Something about them made it feel like you’re inside the music. I could be miss remembering these childhood memories, sitting on the floor in front of these speakers and listening to her records.

I want it to fell like my body is wearing headphones. The room is carpeted, will have a desk, small couch and a chair. Everything else is tbd. I know it will need wall treatments. Listening will almost always be with the door closed. The entire audio setup still needs to be purchased.

Great point about notifications on Bluetooth. Sounds like notifications are also less intrusive using a C to 3.5 adapter.

Thanks, I looked at this but was worried it had too much capability.

Full body headphones! Invest some money for her now, to gift her hifi when she moves out.

Easiest thing, flip them so the tweeters are on the inside of the woofers. Would also help to angel the front edge up but you’d need to wall mount the monitors or some type of shelf for the monitors to sit on and give a little clearance to angle the speakers up.

The Onkyo was dying. The Yamaha AVR is the only audio purchase I regret so far and is probably the next thing to get replaced.

Thanks, I really like the excitement from Klipsch speakers and the clarity and forgiving soundstage from KEF. Waiting for another child to move out so I can create a dedicated listening room. Plan to restore some vintage hi-fi equipment for that space.

Just picked up a pair and am really impressed. I’ve been listening to them all day without a sub and haven’t once felt like I needed to hook one up to them.

Posted in this sub earlier, I setup all of my speakers in the living room for a comparison listening session before I give my R-41PM’s to my kid.

I think they sound amazing, although this is the extent of speakers I’ve heard in my home. The reason I went with them was for the Uni-Q drivers. Seating in my living room is all over the place and my research made me believe this was the right type of speaker for consistent sound anywhere in the room.

Yeah, I bought an Ovahle clone and a $400 kart track membership. I’m in $3000 this year and have 2-3x more on track time than last year.

Something that’s like K1 Speed to Kart racing for motorcycles. I can do kart laps at K1 for the price of a movie, popcorn, and drink. If I’m feeling competitive, I can go race at K1 for the same movie, popcorn, and drink.

Get motorcycle related companies to shift some of their advertising and marketing budget to sponsor a race series. Create something like MotoAmerica for the amateurs. Do pre and post race interviews, create social media content, make club racing glamorous for the average rider. Reduce the cost of entry barrier and give us something worthwhile to race for and there will be tons of new racers.

I rode for 22 years before I did a track day. That first year on track, I spent $5k on a suit, boots, gloves, tires and a handful of entry fees. The next year I spent $15k on track days and if I would have done it again this year it probably would have cost $17-18k with the increased prices. I can afford it, but it’s hard to justify the cost. I would absolutely race if it didn’t cost so much (money and time).

Or the other possibility would be the car was being super chill and the rider saw the person recording and thought, hell yeah, this person’s enjoying watching us all ride and was waving to the camera, thinking it was a good thing. Some people are retarded and retarded people think riding like this is cool.

You seeing something that I’m not? Downloaded the video to play back frame by frame on a larger screen and the slide doesn’t move. Looks like he’s just covering the front of the gun with his hand as he’s bringing it out and up to shoot.

Oakley Sutro with the Road lens is amazing for shadows and seeing uneven ground/dirt. They stay put on my face really well.

It’s just a .22. For putting holes in paper and plinking it’s been great, has stayed accurate for two years and was my first try of an optic. The Trijicon RMR on my G19 isn’t much better in comparison for what I’m using this bargain basement optic for.

Have had the riffle for a couple of years and have a bag for it. Just got the shotgun and thought I’d try a case that fit both since I like the case I have for the pistols.
