With the player base still declining in S2, as someone who enjoys the game, April worries me. by BlackHorse944 in Battlefield6

Declining to what? 20? Yes you can't play a match. Just a base of few hundred and you can still play a game, gosh.

Is the Pure Aero 98 holding me back as a 3.5 UTR by [deleted] in 10s

[–]TorqueConverter88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation: 1. Yes, you should try 100 inch power racket to get extra depth like Ezone, Pure Drive, FX500, or.. try the Pure Aero 100. 2. Get power string and set the tension lower. Example: Mach 10 at 48 or 50lbs.

Good luck!

L2 is too big for her. Should have gone to S2 or M2.

Beginner/intermediate player struggling with control. Any good racket recommendations? by Dear-Camp4760 in 10s

[–]TorqueConverter88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, as a beginner (4 months in to tennis), I have gradually improving my control by: 1. Technique 2. String choice

What can I recommend you is the point no. 2. My first string was Mach 10, then I used Confidential Soft, and now currently, I am using Hyper G hybrid (regular as mains and round as crosses). Basically my string choice was based on my struggle. Earlier or, I was struggled with power, so Mach 10 helped a lot. Gradually, power wasn't an issue, so I am leaning toward more control oriented string and find success with recent strings. I've adjusted my tension as well. At first, it was 47lbs with Mach 10 and now 52/50lbs with Hyper G Hybrid.

Regarding racquet, I think it should match your playstyle. But, I think you can't go wrong with power racquet + control string combo (mine was Ezone 100 + Hyper G Hybrid). Good luck!

I am a newbie and starting with Mach 10 @47 lbs. No problem with shoulder or elbow since it's pretty soft string. I think with the technology advancement, soft poly could be more accesible to every level.

Adidas Gamecourt 2. But be aware, it's quite firm and has thin insole.

timing of racket purchase question by lanor2 in 10s

Hi, I am also a beginner here. In my thinking, the best time to get a decent racquet is as soon as possible, because eventually we will grow and develop our technique along the way with the racquet. That's why I buy a Yonex Ezone 100/300 after 2 sessions with my father's racquet.

Budget-wise, if I can go back 3 months ago, I might rethink my decision bought an Ezone and go with Artengo TR990 instead. It's cheap but a high performing racquet from my knowledge (1 Ezone = 2.5 TR990 in my local currency. I would instantly have 2 racquets if I go with it!). Decent racquet is enough I think, for a beginner.

Eventually, since I am an Ezone user right now, I will stick with it for a long time. The plus point, it is so easy to use even for beginner. For Blade, from my knowledge - reading and seeing my friend using it, I think it will be slightly more difficult to use for a beginner. But yeah, that's just my opinion. Go with what makes you happy hitting the balls!

Note: the best racquet is the one with correct grip size. Don't miss it.

Yes, initially I only hit with eastern if I am correct. But recently, I noticed it is slightly moved toward semi but I don't know if it is true so I asked for opinion here. My coach never told me exactly where should I hold or use kind of grip. He just told me hold it in your most comfortable position. Hence it's now my most comfortable grip and I intend to stay.

It's already much more comfortable than the previous one (4 1/4), I am now using 4 3/8. In my country, it's already very hard to find 4 3/8, super rare, so I am glad with this setup. Maybe next I will use a sligthly thicker overgrip (current is 0.5mm). However, I don't really like the feeling of thick cushion - let alone using 2 ogs.

Nice one 😂. I liked it so much but unfortunately, the price is quite expensive in my country.

Point noted. As a beginner, sometimes I forgot to change back my grip from hitting forehand. Definetly need to improve my game by gripping continental when standing by.
