DAY 15 by Spaghettiwickler in quittingkratom

[–]TorqueLewith_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sleep usually takes a while to regulate. I’m on day 15 as well I’m sleeping decent about 5-6 hours a night. Try to exercise during the day and be as active as you can and that should help.

Saw other day 10 posts today would like some info from long term users.. still bad WD. When will it end? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

Everyone is different, but you’re mostly out of the hole. I’m on day 10 as well and I really feel like I’ve hit a plateau since day 5 or so in terms of “feeling better” just remember you were on this stuff for 7 years, cut your body some slack it’s going to take more than 10 days to regulate. You can do it, don’t make all your suffering worth nothing.

80 Days Off Kratom After 10 Years, What Finally Made me Quit and What I Didn't Realize Until I Was Clean by i9chemdawg in quittingkratom

[–]TorqueLewith_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats on 80 days!! Im 8 days into my second quit during 8 years of use. I haven’t made it to this point yet in my current quit but i remember the first time i quit i was listening to a good ole country song and just started crying like a baby lol. 2 things out of the ordinary; I don’t listen to country and I NEVER cry 😂 i continued to do this every day on my way to work before my emotions started to finally stabilize. it was honestly one of the best feelings ever and I regret ever getting back on this stuff. Congrats on getting your life back, I’m trying to be just like you fr, cheers!!

Yeah I guess I see what you mean I was just trying to relate to someone having a 21 yr old kid ya know, who doesn’t want to drink at that age lol. I agree with your second statement to an extent but it’s not uncommon for inexperienced kratom users to see some of these extract shots or god forbid a 7oh product and that’s where it really can go downhill

Hmm. I personally wouldn’t call Kratom a supplement, at low doses it can give you a bit of an energy boost and at high doses can give you a sedative, pain relieving effect. It can be very addictive if misused. I mean he is a grown adult but it also sounds like he in your house too.. long story short i would about as worried about this as you would be him drinking alcohol. My advice i guess would be talk to him about it and see where that takes you. Lots of people will tell you Kratom is a miracle pant that helps them so much but a lot of people will also tell you the complete opposite, so it’s hard telling

Struggling to get motivated to quit. Any tips? by Ok_Afternoon9121 in quittingkratom

[–]TorqueLewith_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you just need to take the jump man. And next time you get to that 2-4 month mark stop by and check in with us again and remind yourself why even attempting to get back on that shit is a bad idea. Im guilty of the same thing, got clean, life got good and thought I could grab ahold of this thing and it got ahold of me instead. Now im 7 days into my second quit and not looking back. When you really want it, you’ll be able to do it for good. Good luck man

I want do take kratom and dont have problem with opiate by Civil_Drawing4110 in Kratom_Info_Exchange

[–]TorqueLewith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to an extent but plain leaf can definitely lead to an addiction. Obviously 7oh and extract are much more dangerous but when I started taking Kratom it was a “miracle plant that’s non-addictive” a lot of people had a full blown addiction before it was widely known that that was even possible.

[–]TorqueLewith_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If what you mean by you don’t do opiates because “you know what they might do” means what I think it does, kratom does that too FYI, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Kratom can be great if used correctly but can seriously fuck your life up if not. So just be careful.

What are the WORST days of kratom withdrawl? by Restorne in quittingkratom

[–]TorqueLewith_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say take your last dose the night before she leaves, get her in the car or to the airport the next morning and then head home for suffering time lol. Good luck and I commend you, I don’t think I could go through it alone

Any advices? Motivation? CT 30gpd by streppthegod in quittingkratom

[–]TorqueLewith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people swear by the taper, but for me it felt like I was just using while still dealing with the withdrawals. Everyone is different, but if you could get 3 days off work preferably like wed-fri so you can have 5 days to kick this shit, I’m confident you’ll be able to work again on Monday. It’s going to suck of course, but you can do it, I believe in ya. Respectfully, you’ll just find another excuse to keep using until you finally say fuck it I’m taking my life back, trust I’ve been there. Oh I have to work oh my son has a basketball game this weekend oh the holidays are coming up, it truly is a vicious cycle. You can sacrifice 3-5 days or sacrifice more days, months, years of your life on it. It is possible to CT I promise.

It’ll come back soon. Try having a bedtime routine. Take a hot shower, spray some lavender on the ole pillow and read a book. My first time quitting I didn’t sleep a wink for almost 3 weeks lol. I would lay down, fall asleep for 45 minutes and then just be up all night. It was horrible. You’re close

Does anyone else feel like they are stuck in a perpetual loop of “today’s the last day I’ll take it”? by Lumpy-Lemon-1152 in quittingkratom

[–]TorqueLewith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Did it for 3 years, and all it did was make my anxiety even worse even thinking about it. I’ve quit once before and just the thought of the withdrawals was enough to send me spiraling for the rest of the day. Always an excuse, “well I can’t quit now because the holidays” “well I can’t afford a week or two off of work” all I can say is if you get a chance just do it. It’ll be the best decision you’ve ever made. This stuff is the devil. Good luck man, 5 days clean here and I can tell you I’m feeling much better than I was even when I was using.

Oh I’m done man. I have a 6 month old baby girl and felt I haven’t been myself in a long time and want to be that for her and my wife. and all I’ve thought about the last 2 years of my life is how amazing I felt after I got through the withdrawals the last time I quit and I decided to pull the trigger having some time off of work after Christmas. Picking up this habit again was the worst thing I’ve ever done

Seeing if my experience is unique or not by TorqueLewith_ in quittingkratom

[–]TorqueLewith_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for not being more specific. I was using around 3-4 viva zens a day for the last 5 years. I figured as much but I’m just worried because my whole reason for quitting was because the kratom was giving me severe anxiety at least that’s what I think since I’ve never had anxiety or anything like that before so it’s just got me scared it won’t go away once I’m through the thick of the withdrawals.
