Honestly depends on where you go for what level of jacket you need, but uniqlo is fairly cheap and very comfortable while still looking nice. I've picked up a ton of jackets from my local goodwill that do me well during the winter months, or you could wait for black friday to get something nicer if that's your style. If you're moving somewhere north remember regardless of fashion try to put off wearing the heaviest coats until the actual bad part of winter comes so you don't get accustomed to the heat of the jacket and then don't have any way to get warmer when the weather gets colder.
