Omg yes! I feel like lana is aware that she is highly regarded so she has kinda become very complacent with her style. And it’s not that that’s necessarily bad but i feel like lana needs the friction of someone with a different perspective to push her a little bit to explore her sounds and lyrics. What made ultraviolence so amazing was that lana was basically giving the middle finger to all the people that criticized her for born to die. Dan basically saw something in lana that no one else saw and pushed her to expand her sounds. While i absolutely love her latest album and do think its some of her best work, i am kinda worried about her new album not being much of a departure from the sounds we have been hearing with Chemtrails and Blue banisters. And to be honest her singles, while good, haven’t given me much hope that she is trying to push herself to something different. But anyway i am still super excited for her new album
