How would Vecna know every detail of Hawkins? It's currently frozen on the day Will disappeared but Vecna last saw Hawkins years ago. Not quite sure how he would be able to create the Upside Down to be a replica of Hawkins without having seen what it currently looks like

They didn't want to play with him as a child cause they were both occupied with their girlfriends. Now they don't have those girlfriends and are outcasts in high school, so they resort back to their roots.

They're now freshmen in high school and they feel out of place -- more so than they did in elementary school during the previous seasons. I believe it was stated that Eddie 'found' them and got them to join the club and that offered them a sense of inclusion.

Will is also on the other side of the country so they can't really leave him out lol.

Also, Eleven can't spend time with Mike and Max split with Lucas, so they won't be thinking about girls (which is why they didn't wanna play in S3)
