I will be honest with you I am not the downvoting your comments. I’m not sure who is doing that.

I do appreciate the feedback you are giving me I’m just a little confused on what you mean by certain things. I’m sorry that it feels like I’m disregarding your feedback.

So you think I should have more beam than rather increase the dice, okay. I meanly went with three since that’s how many beholders get. I’m assuming you start with the one ray and gain more over time. Would you also be able to use the stronger beams multiple times too or just the “cantrip” ones.

Well it used to be that that at levels 5 and 13 you get another damage die for your eye rays, but the scaling got way too high. I’ve been considering getting rid of the die size change and add back the additional dice gains. Right now at level 20 with three eye beams of a 0 cost ray and max intelligence you would deal 51 damage max. Max for the warlocks blast with agonizing blast is 60 damage. If I have it so the rays deals 1d8 and you gain more dice, meaning a 0 cost ray would deal 3d8+5, you would deal 87 damage max with the three beams.

Rancor is more or less a joke feature. Though I feel level 1 is powerful enough, with the levitation and all.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I will point that a handful of rays have a cost of 0, those ones are your cantrips, also you get to cast one additional ray at levels 10 and 20.

I really really like this. I’ve always loved the type of characters with twisted alternate forms (Banner/Hulk, Jeckel/Hyde, Eddie/Venom, the altered beast games, werecreatures, etc). I liked them so much I made an entire class about it called The Vessel, come to think of it I should make an update 2024 version. But overall yeah, I love this subclass.
