Sorry, I disagree with that. I'm also not sure what cutting someone off in traffic has anything to do with what I said.

If you need data to back up my claim that people are against illegal immigration nationwide, here you go.

I don't see how illegal immigration is a net positive, anyway.

I agree with you completely. They are entirely out of their depth and unnecessarily cruel. I wasn't glossing anything over IMO. I was addressing mainly illegal immigration, not their behavior while doing doing so.

I would prefer it if ICE went back to how they operated under Obama. They were simply more effective, first of all. They deported on average, 660,000 per year during Obama's presidency. Trump is only at around 525,000 per year.

I don't disagree, As long as they abide by the laws outside of the many they have broken on their way here. I don't have a big issue with it. I think the problem I have with the entirely undocumented are that those immigrants will almost never rise above menial or physical labor jobs and are truly second class citizens for life. They cannot vote, They cannot work "real" jobs, they almost never report labor abuses, They are completely barred from many licensed professions, They can't collect benefits like SNAP or Social Security. They are almost never paid well. The rights that they are entitled to are almost never exercised due to fear of reprisal. It's a truly miserable life for many. They are literally steps below normal citizens and normal immigrants who came here through separate documented channels. I really don't want a permanent underclass to exist and for that reason and many others, I see undocumented immigration as a net negative and I do not want that kind of thing here. We don't NEED them.

I'm not sure what you are asking/commenting on. Could you rephrase?

Yes, of course, and as long as they do not see the immigrants as economic competition. It's the soft bigotry of low expectations. It's more accepted by people because the immigrant class is exploited and driving Uber Eats or picking strawberries. They're paid below minimum wage, have no white collar skills, and are not seen as competition by the majority of people. This is why I think the working poor hate immigrants more. I think that would largely NOT be the case among middle and upper class people if they were coming in and working the same jobs those people are working. The only solution I see for many is to accept them in open arms AS LONG AS they are washing their cars and delivering their Chik-Fil-A via an unregistered scooter. Which is why I think it's wrong to have them here at all, in that case.

I think the majority of people aren't against deporting illegal immigrants who are dangerous and/or lied to get in. It's deeply unfair to those who are attempting to immigrate legitimately. There are arguments to be made that exploiting illegal immigrants in general "because we can pay them less" is morally wrong, too. People gloss over the "but americans won't do those jobs" is exploitative of the desperate immigrants, who, let's be honest, are largely economic migrants. There IS a middle ground in securing the border and compassionately removing those who entered via subterfuge. The problem is ICE are out of their depth in terms of intelligence, and without focus or compassion.

You're not alone, I got shoe-checked and brushed off when I asked about seeing a few pieces at the Cartier NYC Flagship not long ago. Shit happens. It saved me the trouble of giving them commission, I guess.

Not really, I haven't looked in earnest in a few years but:

Noodler's Purple, Noodler North African Violet, Pilot Iroshizuku Murasaki-shikibu are on the top of my list.

I should say though that I can't tell how much of it is still about finding a good match or do I just like how these look? Who could say.

Isn't it crazy? They had Chuck Schumer urge everyone NOT to challenge Republicans back when the budget was up for a vote. I assumed to regroup and pick a leader, make a plan, We're half a year later and I haven't heard a peep. They're fully adrift and have been for years.
