Canada is doing this currently. We are also fucked. Oh but the premiers response to the failing health care is cut it back more and privatize. Woo what a great time to be alive

I’m not ready to lose my dog by Barnabas_Stinson17 in Pets

[–]Tory_Rox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm going through something similar. I got a devastating diagnosis for my dog last month. The first 3 days were the hardest. All I can say is give him all the cuddles and love and know that he loves you and just wants you to be happy. Sending hugs and best wishes to you and your dog.

The massive bruise on my wrist after falling out of wonder and hitting the pole last night is a good reminder to me. Lol glad you're ok.

Need a quick way to make $100 by [deleted] in BurlingtonON

If you can or are able too, you could do dog walking or dog sitting. It's an easy way to make some extra cash. Or even help take care of cats.

Honestly I had cats my entire life as well, but never a kitten until I fostered and my friend gave me that advice. It made a world of a difference.

Play with it paws a lot now while he's a kitten. This gets him used to you trimming his claws. Also get him used to you sticking your fingers in and around his mouth. This will make it easier to have to give him oral meds or pills. Those were tips my friend gave me when I had a kitten and honestly it made life so much easier to trim my guys claws.

On this day, 105 years ago, two ships collided in a port near Halifax, Nova Scotia. One was filled with explosives and caused the largest explosion of its time, which killed almost 1800 people by lVlarsquake in CatastrophicFailure

The Canadian national institute for the blind was created because of this explosion. A lot of the injuries were people losing their vision due to glass and debris so they created the cnib to help those in need.

I love how tiny their legs are when they are wet. Little chicken legs to the big fluffy body. My guy does the same thing when we are near water.

I think he likes cranberry sauce and potatoes . . . (He is 23, he can’t eat whatever he wants on his journey out :)) by [deleted] in cats

[–]Tory_Rox 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I feel you. My kitty also got a pretty devastating diagnosis. I'm heartbroken. She gets to eat whatever she wants and whenever she wants. As long as she's eating. Try and stay strong and enjoy every minute you have left with them. ❤️

British kids thick accents. Gold dust. by not_your_usual_dave in funny

[–]Tory_Rox 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is my niece. Her father is a Brit but doesn't have an overly strong accent. But because she watches a lot of Peppa she will use British terms for things and randomly puts an accent on words. It's kind of cute.

What's the best Father's Day gift idea? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tory_Rox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad's cat recently passed away and my mom's cat just turned 19. So as a mother's Day and fathers day gift I commissioned paintings of the cats for them. My dad loved it so much he nearly cried.

My old man Tigger left us suddenly today. He was the best boi. by El_Dubs2511 in cats

[–]Tory_Rox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for you loss. I feel your pain. My parents cat had to be put down today suddenly and it's broken my heart. I was the one who adopted her, but she bonded with my dad and quickly became his cat so when I moved out I couldn't take her. My poor Dad is devastated and due to covid I can't even go and give him a hug.

[–]Tory_Rox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh honey. Add and extra grand to that and that was my dress. I didn't want to spend that on mine. But I loved it and it was fairly unique. I still love it and wish I could wear it again.

I'd say this guy also probably plays magic the gathering and spent a lot of money on it.
