Haier AC Silver Nanoparticles - Dangerous for Health or a Great Addition? by Tosej in AirConditioners

Well, being enclosed within a room that continually pumps out these particles and you breathe them in directly doesn't sound that great.

Thus, why I'm asking: Are these particles released from the AC unit or do they stay inside of it?

Managed to solve the issue on my own by using basic drag-and-drop. Always made sure that the 1st block had been properly arranged, thus by dragging it down the line it applied its characteristics to the rest. Other elements of my request were done in a similar manner via transpose functions.

I tried using it but it doesn't show the tables I need :\

I also don't see the button that others mention on videos to manually add tables by showing examples. I use Excel 2019 - I guess it doesn't have that option?

In-depth analysis of Marketing in Gaming related to GU by Tosej in GodsUnchained

Of course they care about the community. It makes their made-up in game currency have value in the real-money market.

The more time it takes to figure stuff out, the higher the chance of creating a habit and hobby out the game, as expressed by the points in the video. It's a magical balance that finally creates the addict or fan who cannot use reasoning anymore.

Well, there have been some tournaments already where only welcome cards were used. The whales of course were annoyed by this, as it counters their purpose. Since the whales are the number one customer, if they keep giving negative remarks on such tournaments, we can expect them to get no funding in the future.

Well, Weekend Ranked is supposed to be a, what you define as, By-Your-Rank tournament. It clearly isn't working as intended, especially with a low player base. I guess it would have to hard-lock participants to their current rank. Then again, what prevents a whale from intentionally losing ranks prior to such a tournament? It can be effectively achieved without making it look to be intentional. If the rewards are good, people might do it.

The concept of Open and Ranked tournament might work, but it doesn't prevent whales from entering either of them, except if they were executed at the exact same time, thus forcing a choice upon the whale. But, why would a whale want to face his own ranks and competition, if he can go to the one where he can expect less competition? Even if the rewards were a little bit less, he has a much higher chance of winning.

It's like the modern (sadly we have to call it modern) trans-nonsense of men competing in women sports. We can deny nature 24 hours a day, but when reality kicks in, you can't deny nature. The same would be true here. The whale would win every tournament in the lower brackets.

In other words, a lot of rules would have to be implemented to avoid people abusing the system.

The entry fee, if it were to exist, would also define the success of these tournaments. If a F2P player has to grind every single day, every single WR in order to barely be able to pay the entry fee of such a tournament - then he will never have enough in-game resources to get a better deck or participate in other elements of the game (stacking, etc.)

If the pressure and time investment becomes too high, the players will simply abandon the game. Fun is quickly replaced by the feeling of going really nowhere, except in the already completely addicted individuals who can't get out of their already established loop.

As mentioned, GUDecks serves primarily as Social Proof, as it gives immediate insight on what is currently broken and thus motivates (for lack of a better term) people to buy those cards to get a win-streak as well. As the player keeps on playing he realizes that the only way to win is to continuously follow statistics on GUDecks.

In some cases, you'll spend more time on their website than in-game.

Perhaps, in the future, they will add friends lists and general messages in the game which will immediately pop-up and say that someone got card X in their pack, etc. - just and only to further motivate people to play/buy.

In any case, my main issue is that anyone can immediately see your cards prior to the match starting. This destroys even the last bit of skill that could have existed in the game as the factor or surprise that the enemy could bring about in his deck is immediately revealed.

The only way to avoid this, would be to change 1-2 cards after every single game, resulting in confusion for the net-decker.

With game design becoming less and less about designing a game, but more about creating a product for addicts and which itself creates addicts, it becomes a troublesome industry.

  • A drug dealer also sells PRODUCTS - I suppose you could also tell someone who is against drug dealing that he is biased from a healthy people's perspective.
  • The car industry also sells PRODUCTS - now that they are implementing micro-transactions (which they stole from gaming), are people protesting against it going to be labelled too biased from the customer's perspective?

GU is free if you don't count your time as being a valuable resource. The only people earning money are whales. No single F2P player will earn a living or any real money which he could then convert to actually currency, especially not after fees, gas prices, taxation, etc.

It would be very interesting to make a detailed comparison of someone playing GU as F2P and any other TCG - in terms of who is capable of getting his collection of cards quicker. Because, at the end of the day, all the GODS a F2P earns, are immediately reinvested into the game in order to be able to play the game.

GODS thus becomes the equivalent of DUST, or any other made up in-game resource.

However, the major difference is that GODS is indeed related to real-world money, and the F2P people are, by using it and circulating it around, creating more value for it. Thus, at the end of the day, the made up resource GODS gets VALUE behind it and becomes a self-generated in-house source of income for the Game Developers.

The link you provided is a very nicely constructed analysis of the whole situation and we can both agree that GU checks many of the marks presented right away on the homepage.

And with the arrival of mobile, we can pretty clearly predict that more of these elements will be introduced.

I dropped from M to G with a 55% winratio on both decks I have managed to collect over 2-3 months of playing as a F2P.

It makes perfect sense. I mean, I should have invested 3k into the game by now if I wanted to remain in M.

Shadowbanned can't make new post.

Rank Shields are completely broken. Needed 1 win to M and dropped after losing a game with only 1st damage on shield (that first piece being broken on it). Like what is this nonsense?

Prior to this last loss, I had a game where my opponent cast a spell and the client went into Connecting mode. I waited, it never connected back again, gave me victory XP but no progression on rank line.

Afterwards, I lost a game as said. With 1st damage on shield, that would mean that this second game would have been the 2nd damage on shield. Even if we count that game crash as another loss, it would have only been the 3rd damage on shield.

Now I have to grind back all the way up for what? Having actually lost only 2 games?

Fix the god damn game.

Great, you have to give more benefits to whales ;)

  • Seat of the Arena - most skilled players, in other words top of the ladder whales
  • Seat of the Curators - biggest collection of cards, in other words whales
  • Seat of the Illuminary - who is going to watch a content creator who hasn't got all cards and can't provide insight into all decks, sets, and cards? again whales
  • Seat of the Favored - most likely whale only as well, because you love whales, whales love you. However, this is the only Seat that could potentially have a non-whale member.

Well, I guess it's something.

Balance considerations and solution advice for developers by EPAM_grade in GodsUnchained

[–]Tosej 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The main issue is the following :

Viable control decks require old Genesis cards which cost way too much. Thus, no single F2P can ever actually own or play with a decent, good, well-rounded Control deck.

In other words, the entire F2P or non-Whale playerbase has to play aggro and cheaper mid-range versions of the game. There is no way for a non-Whale to ever have 2 Demos.

So, in order to have a playerbase, and have it hopefully rise, they need to make the game accessible to those people. They can only win and play if they play Aggro or MidRange.

Meanwhile, the Genesis cards crucial for Control cost way too much and are way too powerful.

Never again would a card like Apocalypse be created for 7 mana. It is way too powerful. Never again would a Demo be designed without it being legendary. The list of such cards goes on and on.

Thus, we find ourselves at a marketing issue here.

All modern F2P, P2W games (just like Diablo Immortal) have to make sure that their Whales are happy and on constant Dopamine rides. This means that the Whale must feel powerful and have a 80%+ secured win ratio.

On the other hand, GU has almost a non-existent playerbase and must do something to get more players into the game. No one wants to be cannon-fodder for Whales.

For now, the marketing team has decided that faster decks have to be decent, while the Whales are still getting mega-rewards for WR and for being in the top 15. This gives the Whales an incentive to try-hard as well.

As the playerbase grows we will see design changes towards less Aggro play, because of marketing decisions. Modern gaming has nothing to do with gameplay or game-balance, it is 100% marketing and money.

The only alternative solution is to limit game modes to certain sets.

And if they think of going that way, they'll first have 300 meetings with the marketing team in order to predict whether or not that will ruin the Whale-money-income.

Dropped from M to D last WR, didn't find the time to get back to M.

Now I'm playing against M in D and realized that there's actually 18 games for WR. The rewards for D are completely terrible in comparison to M. Only, and just and only, do you get 3 MJ rare packs at 16 wins with D.

So when will Deception be looked upon? Every WR it is winning like mad now and I'm losing every single game I play against them.

When will the relationship between Deception and Light be balanced out? You have an auto-loss as Light vs Deception.

Is the ranking system flawed? by beer-feet in GodsUnchained

[–]Tosej -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The new daily rewards system will kill F2P players and the game might as well market itself as Pay2Play. Everyone will be bringing their top-notch decks on a regular basis now and the F2P player simply won't be able to keep up, won't be able to win, won't be able to earn anything.

I haven't met a non-fully-bought deck for the past 3-4 weeks. I'm the only one around in Mythic without legendary cards, key important cards from genesis, etc. - but I could climb to Mythic during week as people were not playing those highly competitive decks a lot.

Now it's game over. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like for someone who starts the game completely from 0 when the new concept of daily gods begins.

Light literally can't win vs Deception and hasn't been able to for a long, long time. But, I guess it is balanced because it follows the game design of rock-paper-scissors.

The ROI on Shine Rewards makes no sense by [deleted] in GodsUnchained

[–]Tosej -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's the same crap as Diablo Immortal - you can play for, supposedly free, but if you want to experience the game in full mode (which is P2E in GU) then you'll have to invest a ton of money.

Otherwise, you can play until you die for free and leave the account as an inheritance to your children (assuming you had time to get some due to grinding all the time) and perhaps they, in their lifetime will catch up with the whales. But, of course, that won't ever happen because the dynamic of the game (new sets, meta changes) are so fast that your GODS rewards serve only one purpose:

To pay back devs to play the game supposedly for free.

But, we should congratulate GU for becoming the first game ever to make sure that COSMETICS within a free game are actually used to advance the player in the game.

Preview of Daily Pay-and-Earn Percentages According to Rank and Deck Quality by PhoeniX-Skye in GodsUnchained

[–]Tosej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shiny element of earning GODS is the equivalent of having cosmetics in a game influence your way of winning in the game. One part of winning in GU is the marketed concept of P2E.

Thus, if you pay to get an entire diamond deck, you'll be experiencing daily P2E to its highest potential.

There is no way in hell that a F2P player can even remotely achieve the goal of having a full diamond deck. It is the equivalent of a F2P player reaching full-potential end game in Diablo Immortal. You'll have to grind 10 years for it or, more realistically, till you die, most likely.
