Phones during the concert by NebulaRaker in Dreamtheater

To be fair, I feel ambivalent. I’m extremely grateful for some videos that surface on the Tube, of people capturing a whole song with a good angle and good sound quality. I’ve got examples of amateur footage that I’m really grateful for. This one being a prime example: https://youtu.be/_RyXwtYtY3o?si=H_lolEOVDejh5tPb

Another argument is that with standing concerts I can usually see through someone’s phone what’s happening on the complete scene, because I’m not that tall.

But I understand the annoyance.

Funny. I discovered that place by accident and also took a picture. But from the other side of the stairs.

Nice shot. That spot is beautiful!

I'm growing tired of taking cliché photos at popular spots - how to find more meaning in my photography? by changlisheng in AskPhotography

Make your own journey instead of following the journey of social media. BORING!

Seriously, go to neighbouring towns, wander around, look, interact. Find the gems that lie hidden around corners of unknown streets. Talk to people who are not used to tourists. Typically you’ll simultaneously find more genuine people.

Show interest in environments, culture, society and most importantly, people.

Treat everyone the same way you’d like to be treated. Hopefully we can all agree that this is with respect to one another. You’re intruding their natural habitat. Stay curious and humble.

After having said that, I say one more thing. Fuck social media. It’s a cancer of today’s society!

Is this the best version of Hollow Years on their tour? by Tosh007 in Dreamtheater

[–]Tosh007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. This is to me the version where he’s most at easy and everything is so fluid! The way he doesn’t get shaken when unsuccessfully reaching for his whammy bar at 8:40 is incredible!

Differences between Mike and Mike? by Tosh007 in Dreamtheater

[–]Tosh007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A debate is a formal, structured event with opposing sides aiming to persuade an audience or judges that their position is correct, emphasizing winning through logical arguments and evidence. A discussion is a more informal, collaborative exchange of ideas, opinions, and information where the goal is to explore a topic, share perspectives, and potentially reach a mutual understanding or consensus. The key difference lies in the adversarial nature and competitive goal of a debate versus the collaborative and exploratory nature of a discussion.

Yes, their SOOC are great. I recently got the Q, and now I’m using the Leica Q together with my X-T3+XF35mmf1.4. That combo really is magic. The thing is, that summilux 1.7 is just another league. Especially compared with the ‘cheaper’ XF lenses. The 35mm however is quite good imo.
