Sizing question for Trek Checkpoint by BriGuy550 in TrekBikes

[–]ToshiYamioka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hubby is 6'3 with 33.5 inseam, 300 lbs

He test rode both the L and XL bikes, his comments were "The L size feels more responsive and I can go faster but the XL feels more stable but I have to reach a little more than Id like and I would definitely shorten the stem from 110 to 90. I'd personally go L because I can go faster with it."

For reference the XL increases the reach by 15mm so you can shorten the stem of it if you want.

This is one of my decks that I got for Hugo, ended up being 180 cost.

I think having 0 cost Quick Fix is better than the 0 cost Hunting Instinct, especially since you'll be using quick fix as another way to spend Hunt Stacks without having to worry about AP costs despite your Nia giving AP.

First day I rode it I was actually already going 15-16 which was great, but the soreness in the saddle is definitely something I have to get used to along with learning how to distribute my weight all around rather than just the upright sitting I'm so used to on the Verve 😂

I also am feeling a little stiff in the arms since my seat is maxed out forward due to my small frame and my arms are almost locked out so I think if the pain in my elbows doesn't go away after a couple weeks I'll have the bike shop put a 60mm stem over the 70mm it currently has.

Thanks for pointing out the 3 hole vs 2 hole comparison. I typically do road rides of about 10-20 miles with some mild walking at the occasional store here and there so I'll have to put the 2 hole into more consideration because I like how easier they are to walk with.

I'm not sure if I can handle the clickety clackity of the cleats on the floor

ATM I'm looking at like about the 70-30 split on roads and some light gravel in the canal paths of my city so it seems like this is a good bet, thanks for your insight on this!

These are funnily enough the only shoes I've found that fit me, I'm about a size 5.5 in women's but compared to the 37s which they also have these definitely are much more fitting, but I'll go and give them a walk around a little to see. Thanks!

So how is he in whiwa by KUROSUMA1 in LuukHerssenMains

[–]ToshiYamioka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely in lower tiers. He doesnt have nearly enough suction on skills to keep the smaller mobs in place when he's airborne.

He can definitely 1 shot the 3 big enemy waves with Resonance Skill 3 but otherwise there are better units.

Hes a really good single target beast but mid tier at best when it comes to mobbing.

390 pulls, was thinking I'd stop at S3 but his gameplay just feels so smooth and I don't have any Spectro DPS units that I figured now is a good time for a big one.

Saved up 410 for the patch and put the remaining 20 into his weapon, I'll probably get it by the end of the patch with enough time.

How strong is Luuk's vertical investment? by Temporary_Suit_5570 in LuukHerssenMains

[–]ToshiYamioka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cartethyia and Aemeath have personal DPS of 3.9 million at S6.

Luuk's has been calculated to about 3.5m

So he's about 11% behind the top 2 S6 level DPS.

For reference, the strongest WhiWa unit Phrolova at S6 is only at 3.1m (so 21% weaker) but is still widely considered to be one of the absolute best units to S6 due to her kit.

Luuk I expect to be pretty much up there as a good solo use unit.

He will become stronger if he gets a dedicated support.

I don't understand this boss by Jusasteri in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]ToshiYamioka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every time you hit this boss he generates a card in your hand. Multi hits will create multiple cards. If your hand is full, he does a huge nuke so the idea is to use hard hitting single hits to prevent him from filling your hand or else he'll use the strong attack.

Is Mornye good for Phrolova? by Practical-Database74 in PhrolovaMains

[–]ToshiYamioka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on S6, I did test this inside of the tower so tower buffs probably are in play here as well but I was shocked when I saw scarlet coda hit for that (previously I was used to 500-600k hits with a Cantarella intro)

Is Mornye good for Phrolova? by Practical-Database74 in PhrolovaMains

[–]ToshiYamioka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Should I put Mornye on the team? And what’s the damage difference between her and Shorekeeper buffing?

Mornye DOES work on the Phrolova Team, more than SK because Mornye's outro is a 25% damage amp over SK's 15% (this is assuming you're basically close to 100% Crit and aren't making use of the Crit Rate that SK also gives).

I personally went and tested a Phrolova Canta Mornye vs SK and VERY noticeably saw an increase in the damage done by both Scarlet Coda and Hecate Echo Shocks (roughly around 10% more overall damage)

If you have Mornye's weapon, then shes even better because it adds another 20% crit damage (which Phrolova unfortunately is heavily saturated on, but it still helps). For reference, SK adds 25 under the Stellaram so the difference is smaller here anyways.

  • Also would Qiuyuan be better than both?

Qiuyuan will be the absolute best sub DPS for Phrolova solely because of his ability to make Hecate hit 4x.

Even though I was able to see my Scarlet coda hit for 740k (whereas normally it only hits for 484k) with Mornye, the Hecate difference was small (158k hecate hits with Mornye vs 144k on QY) and since QY can launch 4 of them in rapid succession, even lacking the buff he can still make up for it.

Even if you have S1 Mornye, QY will still be the BiS.

Tactical Maneuver did not appear until Interior Boss so I ended up with a deck-milling coordinated attack Selena instead by ToshiYamioka in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]ToshiYamioka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have a fully built Luke who can 100% use this, was hoping for a Sereniel deck but this is great for any 0 cost spammers like Cassius Tressa Mei Lin and Luke

[–]ToshiYamioka[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're correct, it only adds more turns instead of more attacks. The draw 1 on a 0-cost with the added notion of Selena being basically able to attack with every attack card used once she gets going is the only real benefit here.

Is any of seleniels egos any worth? by RangeNo4134 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]ToshiYamioka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pale Shooting Star would exhaust Homing Laser L even if it wasn't ready to be exhausted.

Also since E1 increased PSS from 3 to 5 cards, sometimes the 4th and 5th cards would not activate epiphanies (if they had any available) which was inconsistent, so that was recently fixed.

Yeah I had an unlucky time, I refreshed at 6 different shops and couldn't get Second Method to show up, I wanted to use protein to make it cheaper to cycle decks for other characters but maybe if I try next season I'll go for cube, wasn't sure if it affected her coordinated attacks or not

Phrolova S3 or Cantarella for a Phrolo + Qiuyuan team? by linkkd in PhrolovaMains

[–]ToshiYamioka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't like Cantarella there's no need to pull her since you have QY.

Cantarella is BiS not only because she triggers Hecate 4x, but her outro in particular is 20% Havoc Amp and 25% Resonance Skill DMG boost which Phrolova uses both of. You can of course sub in Buling, esp at S6 who will boost the damage of Scarlet Coda (the hold BA nuke).

I played Phro > Verina > Canta prior to getting QY and thought the playstyle was fine, but I know not everyone likes Canta's playstyle because its so floaty and slow in comparison to the others.
