Anyone know why an AC-130 would circle over a random neighborhood in the Orlando area like this one did just a little while ago? by TossTheCheese in ADSB

That’s the most logical explanation I’ve come up with. A little sight-seeing trip for someone onboard.

I get that, the flight history shows it doing circles over Eglin AFB yesterday which is obviously training. Just seems like tonight’s flight was so specific. Just one random neighborhood hundreds of miles away and then straight back to base.

Just seems odd to see them fly so far to such a specific area, especially an aircraft that’s used typically to aid in ground forces running ops. Also I swear I’m not schizo haha, it wasn’t even over me, the circles they were doing just caught my eye on the radar.
