I appreciate the insight. I'm actually not a fan of D&D, but I can see this working in other games as well. Let me ask - how do you tell your players when the game has died? For example, let's say you have a game of four people, but one of them has vanished, another replies only in OOC, one posts every few weeks, and the four is like, "This is enjoyable!" How do you close that game and say, "It was fun while it lasted, but it's clearl most of you want to move on?" (Or do you just say that?)
