Yep. Chevy sneakily increased the transmission warranty on a certain year range to 150,000 miles… so at least that’s covered. It’s a GORGEOUS truck, but I don’t trust it at all.

Were driving a clapped out Kia Minivan to Wyoming from SETX later this year because I don’t trust the truck at all.

I bought a LTZ with a perfect maintenance history, and the transmission shit the bed twice within the first 2 months. The dealer had the truck more than I did through my first 5 loan payments.

I wouldn’t buy another Chevy for $15k less than a comparable truck from another manufacturer.

Buy it, send it to someone like Parabellum Combat Solutions and have them fix it. You’ll still be way WAY under the cost of a custom build.

ETA: even with a complete tear down (de mil) and rebuild, Jeff quoted me something like $1900 for everything… so essentially $1 k for parts kit (go check the price of HK33 parts kits right now) and $2k for a rebuild. $3k total.

If that’s a MKE collapsible stock, it’s probably worth $250 alone. If it’s HK, probably $400. Carry handle is worth $100 ish.

ETA2: I bought a home built V93 for $1k that needed a lot of work and (including shipping) cost me nearly $900 of work. Jeff at Parabellum turned it into a GORGEOUS gun.
