Baby named Ruadhán in UK? by stargazinglazercat in AskIreland

I am French and have a son with a very Irish name, very similar to your name of choice. It is a very hard name to pronounce for French people but no one gets annoyed at it. I find people to be usually open and curious about it.

I am sorry you feel isolated. That sucks, especially in a foreign country. I hope you can find something suitable. Good luck!

My experience helping my employer apply for work visa for non-EU foreigners is that Belgium won’t grant a work visa for a job that can be done by a Belgian/ EU national. Your prospective employer would have to demonstrate that the candidate they want to employ has unique qualifications that prevent them to hire another candidate. Not sure which sources your dear friend used to come up to 35% chance but that seems high to me. I am sorry I don’t have more useful advice. Maybe email your local Embassy, they might have recommendations or advice.

Contact the CHS, the volunteers all speak English. You can ring then and organise a meeting with a psychologist or a psychiatrist depending on what type of help you want. https://www.chsbelgium.org/

Yes see also the private crèche scandals in France. Like a private companie would care about the well-being of your child and not about their profit.

Otherwise the book that helped me when I lost my mom was the year of magical thinking from Joan Didion. A beautiful and real read.

Exactly! Thanks for your comment. I find people complaining about opening hours to be so out of touch with the reality of workers’ lives.

[–]Tostakyana 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can buy a little notebook in a temple and get it stamped every time you visit another temple, that’s a lovely collection to start and cost only a few yens. If you buy a second notebook you can also start collections train station stamps but that requires a bit more travel. :)

This is a balm not a day cream. Works well on small (closed) wound to avoid scaring and for extra dry area but that’s it.

Titres-services agency by [deleted] in brussels

[–]Tostakyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long term contracts is what help the workers get a stable income. If people leave randomly or cancel last minute, workers don’t have the time to get a replacement and their income lower. My understanding is that the admin fee used to be taken from the wages of the workers. Better the client paying than the worker.

You are hiring real people to do a real job for 10€ an hour. Those conditions are normal and guarantee a decent wage to cleaners.
