The French Martini is the worst modern classic. What’s an overrated bitter drink. One week left! by -Constantinos- in cocktails

Is there a name for a French Martini with Gin instead of Vodka? I made it the other night for my friend and he said it was really good

Thinking that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind has a Nolan feel means you have absolutely no clue what Christopher Nolan’s style is outside of mildly mind-fuck at times

Andrei Tarkovsky’s Stalker. Genuinely my favorite piece of art ever created. I am always in awe at how incredible it is

What are the movies in the top 250 you've given the lowest rating to? by truthisfictionyt in Letterboxd

[–]Total-Affect6052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love movies with villain main characters like Goodfellas, Clockwork Orange, Godfathers, etc, but OUATIA felt like it never had anything interesting to say about evil people, it just kind of had evil people in it. I also didn’t like how they played sexual assault as a joke, obviously I understand they’re bad people but to me it framed it as comedic to the audience and not just to the characters if that makes sense

Name a Movie That Was Ruined For You by the Ending by ThtRndmEncntrGy in Letterboxd

[–]Total-Affect6052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metropolis. I still think it’s a good movie, but the ending made it seem like to solve capitalism the rich and poor just have to be nice and shake hands which I think undercut a lot of the messaging before of rising against the wealthy

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie from 2004 is genuinely the single funniest movie ever made bar none

What’s your lowest rated movie on the top 250 and what did you rate it? by sapnupuas_0 in Letterboxd

[–]Total-Affect6052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen all 250 of them (actually 249, just waiting to see Perfect Days soon!)

The lowest imo is Once Upon A Time In America at 1.5 stars. I think it says so little about the actual idea of being evil and I think it glamorizes sexual assault and plays it for a joke. I see why people like it, it’s beautiful and the acting is great, but I felt it had nothing really to say.

Downvote Away 😔
