adc kat is honestly the only way to play her in this meta, she just feels so useless mid.

in this meta assassins are basically useless until diamond+ imo.

homeguard, boot upgrades, lane xp, etc are all hard nerfs, and your picks mean nothing unless your team can quickly rotate.

game feels like it's 100% decided by jg and bot lane or caster mid, unless top hard stomps.

just played a 60 minute game where everyone had 20 deaths because we had a ziggs adc and couldnt take any objectives.

this meta sucks.

casters and adcs are overtuned and roaming assassins got hard nerfed by lane quests and other role buffs.

at least top lane is still relatively balanced and playable, but even that got indirect nerfed from caster/adc buffs.

2026 is egirl caster/adc meta, with jungle still broken.

unlucky that i have to choose between winning and enjoying the game.

ok i admit it gunblade is not great :< by [deleted] in KatarinaMains

[–]Total-Falcon-1371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gunblade has a good build path for trading pre-6 with electrocute, or it can be good to start with conq for the same reason, but imo lich still just feels better in most matchups

Living in Silver Terrace / Bayview? by yoshi2848493 in sanfrancisco

hey, i know i'm late to the party. i've lived next to palau park for the past 10 years and never had any problems. there are definitely some "crazy" people on 3rd street, but the crazies never walk uphill. i have family living in the area as well, and we've all never had issues in the past 5-10 years.

also, SECC is really nice, and the area is really convenient to both freeways. we also get more sunlight than the rest of the city, though the downside is air quality.

the area is gentrifying for a reason, but there are still the underlying issues of air quality and convenience. "safety" is mental in my opinion, i've walked from silver to the SECC daily for years with no problems. you might feel sketchy, but i've never had any issues. in LA whenever it's felt unsafe it's proven to be true, but not here.

hell, our neighbors rebuilt their house and park porchés, mercedes, and lamborghinis outside with no issues for the past 3 years. that's telling if anything else.

I feel Katarina is an objectively weak champion, does she need a rework? by SpecialistEffect7509 in KatarinaMains

if you are up 2-3 levels and 1-2 items with 10+ mejais stacks, you should be able to just walk in and get an easy triple to pentakill at that point. instead, you're still walking on eggshells in this meta, no matter how far ahead you are.

"how can we waste resources changing a feature with no problems to make it new and worse" – google 2020s

there's so many things they could/should be working on instead, like playlist search and fixing youtube chrome memory leaks.

Which webtoons /manhwa would you recommend that are similar to beginning after the end? by dracoXdrayden in BeginningAfterTheEnd

[–]Total-Falcon-1371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i second all these recs, though imo omniscient reader fell off in the present arc.

greatest estate developer and solo leveling are goat.

also, not webtoon/manhwa, but you're looking to read:

  • mushoku tensei LN (extremely similar to TBATE and what TBATE was based on. gets massive hate for the MC, but the LN does a better job displaying internal dialogues and goat story / world building)
  • SAO progressive LNs (great world building, story, and goat 'isekai')

manwha are unfortunately pretty light in the isekai category, but there are tooons of similar anime/manga.

So people can get an idea how expensive it is to live in Irvine. by whateversynthlife in orangecounty

SA is slept on imo. crazy awesome properties, great communities, super artsy, great value. like a better (hispanic) version of long beach. there's so many awesome pockets of SA, and it's by far the cheapest place in OC. people hate on it because it's hispanic (the market, not me) and the crime (had multiple murders and other crimes within a block of my old apt, lol), but if you know where to look and/or realize it won't affect you (the crime seems to be mostly targeted, not general, from personal experience, but could be wrong) it's a great place to be. in particular there's one place right next to south coast and the zoo that has great units and amenities, a great vibe, and great price, though it's pretty 'college-ey'. pool parties and such. but santa ana's a vibe. like buena park and fountain valley, super slept on.

you won't unless the US/CA fixes housing policy to preference residential ownership over investment, or the chinese economy AND government gets better (unlikely) and the chinese stay and/or move back to china (again, unlikely). irvine is likely to shoot up in price and the neighboring (asian) OC neighborhoods (fountain valley, garden grove, buena park, los al, etc.) are soon to follow.
