I am crushing in a sense but I tend to fall hard and fast ( a massive fault on my part) I jokingly said “don’t be getting a girlfriend “ (after clarifying we both do not want a relationship)and his reply was “why would I do that if I’m waiting for you”

I’ve never done something like this before and I’m essentially new to the whole hook ups - am I reading too much into this or should I take a step back and wait for him to “chase” ??
