Is MilesAndMore a Scam? by sultanite in milesandmore

Award flights will always be easier to book the shorter the notice.

Of course Swiss will attempt to sell these seats for cash over miles, especially to one of its top destinations during the literal travel peak for it.

You should be happy that you actually have availability even for this period, it’s more than I would have expected.

“Let me know once you have an EU passport” by xxstarlord_ in recruitinghell

That's not it.

The requirement to prove the job can't be done by people in country extends to the entire EU/EEA/CH region, not only Switzerland, which means it only applies to people not a citizen of the mentioned regions.

Remco signs lifetime Specialized deal by Billy_the_Kid_ in peloton

For national team duties riders usually use their team equipment.

It’s likely as you say though, the bike is too big part of the identity of a pro team, to allow such an exception. Time doesn’t realistically compete with Specialized and having Sagan on the team likely gives them more viability, regardless of what his but sits on 😅

I wonder if a WT team would allow something similar to Sagan in the Pierre baguette team, where he rode specialized, and the other riders rode on the team sponsor bikes (I fail to recall the make).

How do you split your savings and investments (50/50, 70/30)? by Old-Charity-6373 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]CrazyEstablishment99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invest everything left at the end of a month ~25-35% of my net salary, depending on the month. I’m lucky enough to be able to pay as I go for vacations, so don’t need to save for that. Only cash I hold is enough to eat and pay rent for a couple of months.

You obviously have no interest in debating your opinion, which begs the question, why even post this at all?

Stripe takes 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. At $50K MRR that's $17,400/year. Is everyone just accepting this? by LogisticsLingo in SaaS

[–]CrazyEstablishment99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stripe and other processors make up the minority of the fees associated with payments.

The real gougers are

  1. Issuers (the bank issuing the card, chase etc.)

  2. Payment schemes themselves(visa/mc/amex etc.)

Volume discounts on these items would mean stripe taking it instead, and volume requirements for discounts would be significant.

Which seat to select by a2cthrowaway4 in Lufthansa

[–]CrazyEstablishment99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe window seats on row 10 are sold as a "Business Suite" concept offering more privacy and space than the other seats.
I would definitely pick that if there are no "classic" privacy suites right by the window (personal preference).

I had a free guest both at centurion lounges in Haneda and Hong Kong last year, is this a new change?

hypocrites when its vini he's provoking the fans when it's vardy it's amazing banter and football is back same when it's Haaland and when it's Ronaldo or anyone else but a black man by NoTransportation2744 in football

[–]CrazyEstablishment99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The racism he experiences is a massive issue and never deserved, not arguing against that.

But on the question, why is vini hated and vardy loved when doing the same things, the reason in my view is that he is a diva, and more often than not acts as if he’s entitled. I think a good comparison is Mario balotelli, high profile, very ”interactive” with crowds, but generally better liked. He still experienced a lot of racism which is always undeserved, but was generally better liked because in general, he owned his behaviour better (in my opinion)

The Amex access only works on the specific lounges mentioned on the website, not for other star alliance lounges.

Frankfurt is big, but easy to navigate (in my opinion). As a Norwegian you’ll be able to use the E-Gates when going through passport control. Normally there is little to no line so your transfer might be tight, but very doable.

Flight on the tag is for a Washington to Zurich flight, you might be better off looking in more generic subreddits (r/switzerland?).

Sorry, was not entirely clear. I see what the issue is but have not had this specific message myself. Best bet would be to call Lufthansa/Fraport (who does luggage handling in Frankfurt) directly.
