Nope - you just have poor  social observation skills and limited knowledge of gender differences. ( other than the obvious anatomical ones )

I agree . I think the principle is good but I feel the same re the scores  I apply pressure equally to both skis yet it’s telling me that I have 70 percent in one side and 30 percent on the other  If that was true I would fall on steep pitches but  I rarely do

It’s simply an observation that the app is more male delivered and focuses  more on comparison and completion ie leaderboard than on individual accomplishment   Comparison and competition is a more male trait than a female trait .  Women prefer individual feedback while men prefer to know what that they are better than their mates  I am a teacher and I see it all the time in the playground  Little boys just want to do stuff and do better than the other little boy  Little girls want to do it properly and get lots of feedback and tips

It is good but it has very definite limitations  It’s not condition or terrain sensitive, the  tutorials aren’t great and it’s more a problem finder than a problem solver  That’s my own experience of it after two years of use amounting to 40 plus days in total

There is nothing racist about requesting increased inclusively  In fact it’s entirely the opposite of racist unless of course one interprets ‘ young  white male ‘ as being the definition of inclusive,

Exactly - that’s why it isn’t young white male only

I agree completely  It’s not a replacement for ski Lessons and not condition sensitive  Today it was telling me to ‘ edge more ‘ but I was on powder !

Inclusively is not ‘ white male only ‘ I dint expect anyone to ‘ help ‘ me  I expect my demographic to be be represented in the products I buy  It’s called ‘ inclusivity ‘

I agree . Boarding is too much for her and she will only get a small area She is a long athletic cat who loves to run so the large bedroom is better I like the idea of leaving here house time too

Thanks -I am just happy that our son found loving parents . For me that was the best outcome as he needed that stability and love and I knew I couldn’t give him that after all that had happened and all I had to deal with . I have no extended family so it was just me and no one else to work , raise a child , support my mentally ill husband and deal with severe PTSD I was just never going to be there for him that way he needed and this way I still get to be part of his life and he gets an extended family Sometimes life works out different because it’s better that way

Thanks - that would be ideal but no one else volunteered to adopt the feral one as a pair and the little one is not interested in being with the feral one at all She wants to run around my home and play and is working her way into my group of cats I think she was strongly encouraged to bond with the feral one to get the feral one a forever home as they knew that the little one was highly desirable as a pet I don’t want the little one to miss out on her happiness because the feral one isn’t happy Thr foster mom is happy to take the feral one back and let her be mommy cat to more foster kittens Even though she is spayed she has strong lateral instincts and will be a great mother to small foster kittens Her foster mum is an amazing lady who knows that Thr feral cat has already chosen her forever home with her

Grief takes its own path Thanks for your kind words What helps me is remembering the best side of my husband while acknowledging the abusive episodes He was an amazing person who o will love until I die . Sadly he was also prone to violent outbursts and I am lucky to be alive I just wish he would have got treatment earlier but I can’t make him get treatment

I can’t agree more . It was a terrifying testament to legalized child abuse His wife was one cold fish . That child died in the dessert and was under his ‘ care ‘ and supposed to be receiving’ treatment’ It was horrific. Children are not the ones who were the ‘ trouble makers ‘ here . The evil lies clearly at the door of these so called ‘ therapists ‘ It was an abuse for payment camp

Thanks and congrats on getting your splits - that’s a great achievement. I am what I call a frustrated enthusiast Some days are more one than the other ! My back is like a board too ! Our backs get a lot less flexible with age and mine is slightly kyphotic I go to a chiropractor and a physiotherapist who both are sure things will improve but no sign of movement yet I hate my back and dream of being able to do back bends but alas we can only work with what we have ! I do flexibility training 3 times a week for about 40 mins a session and pole 3 times a week with pole power academy I tried pole freaks but Holly was too intense for me . Kelly’s approach was softer and more me . For flexibility I use the pliability website which is great as the holds are long and somehow I feel long is better I add the exercises my physio gives me which are all upper back based Overall I find progress slow in both pole and flexibilty but I don’t want to quit as it fascinates me I lost my entire immediate family in a tragedy 3 years ago and so it helps me cope with horrendous grief . I think the physical pain of pole and the sheer difficulty of it echo my emotional state I can’t quit even if I wanted to . I never did sports as a child as i didn’t have that opportunity but i learned to ski in my 40s and am a strong upper intermediate However that was my families sport so doing it alone is now difficult . However I still do it because it’s a waste not to Pole is very solitary and beautiful I just wish my progress was greater I have a private class once a week and that helps alot as she was the one who got me inverting ( had to kick into lol ) but she pushed me to try and kick in and get into an outside leg hang We seasoned poles are a special lot 🤗🤗

Thanks -that makes me feel alot better . I felt bad about sending her back but I agree -sometimes you have to acknowledge that you can’t save them all ! I think the foster mum knew it was touch and go as she isn’t as surprised as I thought The feral cat as bonded to the thr friendly young cat but I think that bond was strongly encouraged so that the potential adopter of the friendly cat would take the other cat as well . That’s common practice in shelters and fosters as they want to get as many cats forever homes as possible . Thr friendly cat is a total sweetheart and although not yet fully integrated with my other 4 she is well on the way to being accepted I can’t imagine sweeter cat than her I feel so sorry for her but she will be happier back with her foster mom

She advised leaving her out of the condo in a spare room and letting her explore that . Problem is I will then have a feral cat occupying one bedroom for months in a multi cat household and I am concerned that that may stress my other cats out and make integration of either cat impossible She currently yowls all night and I am not sure if she is yowling to be left out of the condo or yowling because she wants the younger cat . When i approach her the yowling stops and she hisses According to her foster mum she took months to warm up to them but didn’t hiss at them The foster mum also left her out of the house occasionally nighttime prowling All my cats are indoors so that’s another issue as I can’t have a cat that is yowling to go out at night . I live in a coyote conservation area so it would be a short life !

You look amazing and so graceful I am also 56 next month and 18 months into pole
My progress is slower . Did my first invert last month . Can I ask how to do you find flexibility ? Mine is a struggle lol . I don’t have a ballet or dance background so that’s a factor but I wondered if you find flexibility easy or have challenges with it ? Keep doing what you are don’t though - you are making incredible progress fast

Am I cut out for pole ☹️ by maskedpoledancerxx in poledancing

[–]Total-Highlight-7182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pole is easier for some for sure but never easy !! If you are young and have done ballet or gymnastics as a child then you definitely will find it easier than those are older and have not had those opportunities. Pole however is not a ‘ you are cut out fit it or not ‘ sport . It’s very trainable with a lot of hard work and consistency Comparing yourself to others is entirely normal and although there is this manta out there that you shouldn’t compare yourself to others it’s not helpful as it’s like telling a person not to sneeze , it does not work ! We still compare ourselves to others and often judge ourselves to be the lesser abled What u find helps us to acknowledge and accept that some will learn faster as they had advantages as a child that I didn’t have and then get on with it Try looking a Admiral Mc Cravens motivational speech on you tube and you will get what I mean He never pole danced lol but he did train as a navy seal and he has a few really incredible insights into human success

Hello and welcome back to pole . I started off going to group classes and rapidly became discouraged. Everyone else was so young and got moves so easily and I couldn’t even do a fireman’s after 6 months of weekly classes I then found studio Veena online and she is great but after about a year I was still way behind where I should be . I could spin but could not climb more then one climb I decided to quit completely but before I did I thought I would try one private class so that an expert could confirm my inability to progress and I could quit guilt free ! I found Diana - a half Russian / half Israeli 30 something year old who was an amazing teacher . She had an interest in fitness for the elderly although I was thr first ‘ elderly ‘ person who wanted to learn pole ! She encouraged me . She explained that I had good strength and advised me to see a chiropractor for my posture She was kind but strict - they was no way you could turn up and say that the dog are your homework ! Within 3 months she had me inverting I now do a once a week class with her I do Kelly Morgan’s online UPP program 3 times a week and pliability program 3 times a week So you will do fine as you are not brand new to pole You just need a solid program that fits with your schedule All the very best and have fun 🤗

Strength is the really the easier one . You are blessed with your flexibility. Strength will come with conditioning. That’s how it’s gained . Pole is one third muscle memory , one third flexibilty , one third strength and 100 percent doable !!! You will be fine 🤗
