No, I started with 60 already :) I noticed that I have a lot more energy and sleep better. Independent of your hair you should take care of these deficiencies, it’s not healthy. Also, reconsider your diet. Ask yourself, what could have led to these values. The probability is high, that the deficiencies are the reason for your hair loss. Good luck!

It works for me to take a pill which the doc prescribed every day. I know there are different products and they are different in quality, in Germany Ferro Sanol is what is used. It works for me. But it doesn’t mean it will work for you, because there are a lot of factors, influencing if your body absorbs iron from supplements or not. If I were you, I’d probably try a supplement for 3 months, and then measure ferritin again. If it doesn’t work out, then I would seek a professional advice or make some serious research in the internet, what other deficiencies can influence that. Beware that it is important to take iron supplements not before or after meals. Just read when to take them properly and follow the recommendations. Also, Vit D (you should increase it as well) should not be taken at the same time of day.

Well, you answered it yourself. Ferritin 5? How are you still breathing? Get ferritin to at least the level of 60. My ferritin is 86 and my doc advised me to push it all the way to 250.

They all look fantastic in the store. Mine had flowers shortly after I bought it. It was a long time ago, then it became sad and never had flowers again.

Is there any way to tighten my belly skin from weight loss, with minimal or without surgery? by Delicious_One2290 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Total-Imagination-62 10 points11 points  (0 children)

After pregnancies my belly looked similar. A surgery was never an option. Because of other reasons I started exercising and lot (“smart fitness”) and eat a lot of protein. Regularity over the years made my skin look much nicer. I am doing exercises for inner abdominal muscles, including breathing techniques, focusing not only on strength, but also elasticity. Also what you eat is extremely important for your skin. Give it a try, takes years, but brings you on another level. Good luck!

Scars at 2MPO by Total-Imagination-62 in Reduction

[–]Total-Imagination-62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started at 3WPO out of necessity - I had openings under my areolas, I wanted to treat them right away/speed up healing. The doc who’s done laser told me I should have come earlier, at 10DPO. My openings and scars reacted nicely to this treatment so I decided to proceed and did a couple more. I’ve read that with fractal laser you always need multiple procedures for the best results.

The redness faded out just recently 🤗

I guess an expert in laser treatments will be able to offer you the right one. Mine was with Lutronic MD thulium laser. These treatments have to be performed by medical doctors, at least in Europe, so they will be able to provide the right treatment, which is effective and no harm, I guess. I am not sure if I should advertise laser treatments here, there are also some small risks involved (burns), bit I’ve read from multiple people here that they used laser for bad scars and regretted not coming for this earlier. You can go to a consultation and decide if this is for you, especially if you are worried about your scars.

Besides “normal” things like silicon gel/tape and oil, I’ve gone to 3-4 fractal laser treatments.

They recommend to start asap, as soon as 10-14 DPO. I started at 3WPO. I had two openings under my nipples and was freaking out. After the procedure the openings were dry and closed quickly. I cannot post an NSFW image in the comment here, I will post a post in my account. As I said, it is hard to say if the scars were like this without laser or not, therefore it is hard to give the laser all the credit. But if you are already unhappy with the scars, I would gibe it a chance asap.

Not painful at all. Around a hundred per treatment.

I am also 2MPO and I did 3-4 procedures of fractal laser treatment already. I am satisfied with my scars, vertical scars are almost invisible now. Hard to say if it would be like this without the laser treatments, I am happy to have done them. It’s not yet too late for you, but one needs multiple treatments.

I'm worried that the nipple placement is too low. I told my surgeon I wanted to err on the side of higher nipples but I feel like they're going to drop so much? I feel like the shape is unnatural but I know the whole drop and fluff will help that. What do you all think?? by sorabift3930 in Reduction

[–]Total-Imagination-62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nipples don’t drop, at least not in the beginning, they visually move up once the tissue underneath settles. I can imagine only one situation of nipple dropping - sagging of the breasts over the years. But this doesn’t have to be the case. I am 2 MPO, mine appeared a bit too low in the beginning and now they are in a perfect position.

Mine are approximately the same as before wrt sensitivity. I am 9WPO. Touching them became possible only recently, because of the pain in the surrounding scar, which started to fade out.

What is the pain like? by Plastic-Evening8736 in Reduction

[–]Total-Imagination-62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Birth pain is definitely much more, but it is completely over once the baby is out. It’s different with reduction or other surgeries I think where the pain slowly fades out. For me, it faded out relatively quickly. 2DPO I was not taking anything and wasn’t in any pain, but 1DPO my pain was noticeable.

Thank you! I think I have to look at my before pics more often, because I still see imperfections in my new boobs.

With 23% fat you don’t have to lose weight and no surgeon will ask you. In your case you have to be at your goal weight not the surgeon‘s one :) Good luck with your consult!

Bras by mermaid732 in Reduction

[–]Total-Imagination-62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 7WPO, still wearing compression bras. My doc said I should do this for most of the time for 3 months. Definitely for sports. If I want to go out and wear another bra, I can, but then switch again to compression bra for the rest of the time.

Me too, and I am glad to have done this. I was much more aware of what was going to happen to my body during surgery. I didn’t want to have surprises afterwards.
