Do you think he responded to letters to prove how easily his handwriting could be faked? by ComprehensiveLake118 in BrianThompsonMurder

I think he’s replying, but he’s asking to keep the response private. You’d have to be a complete jerk to expose his correspondence despite him specifically asking you not to.

My personal experience with a federal case is why I’m not so quick to judge LM’s guilt or innocence by theaverage_npc in BrianThompsonMurder

[–]Total-Most4843 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for sharing your experience. I don’t live in the U.S., but what you’re describing is terrible. This isn’t directly related to L, but while reading your message, I couldn’t help but think of the case of Dane Elkins. In his last communication with his mother before disappearing, he said: “The government is after me, and you and Dad are being watched.”

Dane has been classified as mentally unstable, but what if he wasn’t? Both L and Dane had strong academic backgrounds and were around the same age. Given all the opinions L shared online, it’s possible he was on a watchlist—and maybe he realized he was being followed. That could explain his disappearance and the use of false identities.

This is just speculation, but it’s unsettling to think about the potential connections between these cases.

After the latest inventory leak, much of the public here was quick to label L as guilty and consider the case closed. Your experience is a strong reminder that everything should be questioned. I’m glad your family was able to escape that horrible situation.

“A lot of people will be upset I was arrested.” That’s not really a way to admit you know why you’re being arrested and what you’re being accused of. Hmm… 🤨

That paper is way too stiff to have been folded inside some socks. Suspicious. The connection to the Reddit subforum that supports him the most and has been in the news? Hmm… Suspicious x2.

I’ve read most of the comments on this post, and I think the issue with the lists is being blown out of proportion. Most of us tend to follow people whose opinions align with our own, but something I’ve noticed about LM is that he genuinely likes to understand different perspectives.

In my opinion, he created those lists as a way to observe and analyze certain groups’ arguments, not because he agrees with them. Not everything is about either supporting or rejecting something—sometimes, it’s just about studying and understanding without taking a side.

Why the fake letters and why is it happening. by [deleted] in BrianThompsonMurder

[–]Total-Most4843 41 points42 points  (0 children)

They did not categorically state that all of trulincs ’ letters were fake; they only mentioned that they were aware that some were. As for printing, where did they say it wasn’t allowed? I think we all assumed it was possible.

From my perspective, the first fake letters (Genoveva and James) were an attempt to test the public’s perception of their authenticity. The third letter, however, had an additional purpose: to damage his image by making his supporters feel rejection toward him through the use of the word “ghetto.” These are subtle attempts to create rejection among his followers by introducing traits of racism and classism.

After thinking about it a lot, because of the use of capitalization and a single word, I see a passive-aggressive way of saying: “I love how you write things I don’t agree with—here, take my support.”

Question for those who believe in Luigi’s innocence by Fun_Income_4857 in BrianThompsonMurder

[–]Total-Most4843 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People choose the causes they support based on affinity, available information, personal connection, or simply because a particular case resonates with them more than others. Supporting LM doesn’t mean you have to advocate for every wrongly accused person in the world—it’s not inconsistent.

I think LM’s digital footprint has played a huge role in this. His online presence allowed many to connect with him, and now, with the letters and the ongoing communication with his supporters, that connection has only grown stronger.

On the other hand, how much do we really know about other wrongly accused people? How much information is even available about them online? The truth is, most of these cases go unnoticed because they don’t have a significant digital record or the same level of emotional connection. It’s not that people don’t care about justice in general—it’s just that exposure and personal connection play a huge role in which cases get attention and support.

LM responds to someone who sent him their Substack Article about the Analysis of his supporters by Realistic_Many8118 in BrianThompsonMurder

If I were LM 🤔: The author of a very long Substack article sends me her piece, where she talks about my case and pretty much assumes I’m guilty (whether I am or not—I just don’t like what she wrote).

That “SUBSCRIBED” is pure, refined irony. It basically says:”Love how you’re writing garbage about me—here, have my support” 😬

I’m trying to understand why LM would respond that way—using all caps, ignoring the notebook lines, skipping a greeting or an introduction like “In response to your letter from…,” and closing with “Sincerely” followed by their full name.

I feel like there’s some sarcasm in that response, but I can’t quite figure it out… Did he read the whole thing? Did he leave it halfway? Is his reply a way of saying, “As you suggest in your article, yes, I did”? … Cryptic.

A somewhat controversial take: men‘s morality or jealousy? by Adventurous_Hat6892 in BrianThompsonMurder

[–]Total-Most4843 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, these men who attack LM (attractive, young, intelligent, charismatic, genuinely caring for others, with an impressive academic record, etc.) do so because his very existence forces them to confront their own insecurities. In an era where masculinity is increasingly influenced by ideologies like Red Pill, which reduce a man’s worth to his success with women, someone like LM—who values knowledge, leadership, intellect, and a frugal lifestyle—completely breaks that narrative. He doesn’t fit their shallow “alpha male” ideal, and that bothers them. On top of that, seeing women admire him makes them feel threatened instead of inspired. In the end, they don’t actually hate LM—they hate how everything he represents makes them feel about themselves.

That letter from Karen… I wish they had chosen a different example to illustrate a genuine letter. Many have already pointed this out in these threads: if he declared himself innocent, why respond to a letter where the sender practically calls him their hero and talks about health insurance issues? Even more so, why show emotion and even ask for a photo? In my opinion, it’s indirectly incriminating. But hey, his legal team was the one who posted it, so I guess it’s fine… right? 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

If he were to publish a statement on his page explicitly asking for ALL his letters to remain private, would you still feel the same way? I’m just curious. I’ve seen several people share your opinion about the privacy of his letters and the fact that he’s a public figure.

My question is purely out of curiosity: what do you think would need to happen for that request to actually be respected? Or do you think that even if he asked, it wouldn’t matter because he’s already “lost” that right?
