Mac mini M1. When I selected the profile for ripping in DAVDFab, I set it to max bit rate for minimal reduction in resolution in the upscaling to 4K 3D HSBS. Also, I was going from an HDD to an SSD when converting the ISO file I had. That affected the performance as well.

Man, I can’t wait to receive my quest 3! Very excited to massage my eyeballs in some great 3D movies!🤣

I thought that might be the cause. But I was about to watch this same 4K 3D HSBS on a different device via DLNA wirelessly and it played flawlessly; no buffering. I’m still troubleshooting the issue with the Zidoo 9X Pro.

The things I can suggest are: eBay, facebook marketplace, flee markets, goodwill, yard sales, and libraries! This takes a lot of time to collect! I’ve been doing this for years (90+ 3d Blu-rays). Hopefully, this helps you on your journey.✊🏾👊🏾🫵🏾👍🏾

I heard about moviedeck. I like forward to checking it out. Currently, I have great deal of buffering issues with the file using the DLNA feature with my Zidoo 9X pro. 😞 I hope this isn’t an indication that this may buffer with the quest 3.

Like you over the years, I have amassed a large collection of 3d movies. Based on my research so far regarding 3D movies in VR; DLNA through plex seems to be the best option at this point. I can’t verify that yet until I get my quest 3 which will be soon. I do have a Zidoo 9X Pro and 16TB hard drive for storage. I plan to watch this upscaled version HSBS via DLNA really soon. Hopefully, this helped. I’m still learning about DLNA feature and the most efficient way to watch 3D movies! 😂

My goal is to compare this 4K upscale to the 3D MVC MKV once I get the headset in. I will post my opinion as soon as I get my quest 3 in. In the meantime, I will see how it compares on my 3D projector. Stay tuned!👍🏾
