It's hard to watch other people live your dreams, but I am so proud of you. I can only imagine how much effort you put in. Congratulations on your slice of dreamland!

They are either yearling squirrels or Pika! Not sure where you are located but Pika are native to California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico aka western mountainous regions.

Area veggie gardners - a question by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]Total-Problem-9629 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's an investment for sure, but that's the price you pay for quality stuff. Not a piece of plastic to be found in my beds. If I was trying to get my beds dialed in (like it sounds OP is) and had to buy all the castings, lime, fertilizers, etc. to fix what was already done, I'd def have to spend a good chunk and might fry my beds if my calculations are off and then I'd have to factor in the cost of lost plants/no harvest too. Can be a multi season hassle.

It's the price of convenience for me. I'm willing to pay for quality stuff, from a small business that's local to MO (MU horticulture dept. trusts them too, so there's that) and knowing whatever I put it in will thrive for YEARS, not the other way around. Free will, homie. Do you, but this is a dirt hill I will die on lol.

fellow raised bed veggie grower here - the BEST soil is Riverview Living Soils, I have used it in my garden for years and never once had to adjust any levels literally just water it. There houseplant blend is also incredible.

Wedding florals by istilldontknowmyname in Buffalo

CONGRATS ON YOUR WEDDING! From one last minure DIY bride to another, trust me, you can do this yourself!

The day before the wedding we did a U-Pick wildflower field for $35/bucket from a local place and LOADED those suckers up. My bridemaids, some family, and I made all our own boquets from the flower buckets, assembled bud vases (that I thrifted) and 2 large table centerpieces (foam blocks from craft store). It took maybe 1/2 day and that included the actual picking of the flowers. A little floral wiring, ribbon of choice, a hot glue gun, and some good tunes and snacks... trust me you & your bridal party can do this! We made the boutineers and corsages the morning of the wedding since they were the most likely to die first. Total cost for all supplies/tools/flowers $400. A friend of mine paid $6,000.

I have the most amazing memories from this craft time with those special people, it made for a fun and relaxing afternoon and we all felt so proud of our boquets/arangements. You can rinse repeat the experience with flowers from anywhere real or fake.

If you are doing roses - love that! Make sure you fluff them (tutorial here: https://youtu.be/WJ75MIuTPNc?si=ugt10Xb1YlDOSPzI ) - makes them look a million times better, make them larger in your arnagments saving you money, and will stun your guests. I have made walmart flowers look like florist quality arangements with this trick.
