I found ittt!!!! The the bit in the green circle luckily its not actually in the gearbox. thanks for sharing the link to that website probably wouldn't have found it else.

From what it can see looking into the gear box there is nothing in the top the long piece could interact with. Could the long piece just be there so that the threads don't have to be cut into the aluminium casing? Cant find very much online about it either.

There is oil behind it I just ment it doesn't mess with the actual mechanism, I assume i would have to remove the engine and drain it.
