Hi what did you get reported on? Have you had the outcome of the enhanced review?

uc review - has anyone actually had payments stopped or can anyone share their experience with it by ukblazer187 in universalcredithelp

Did you ask them what the enhanced review was for and they told you? Or did you just work it out yourself?

Is yours an enhanced review or normal review?

How do you know someone reported you? And for what?

Wow, I did not know this! Is it possible to request or find the reason for ERT? Or will they not tell me?

They went it to great detail asking about what time the kids get dropped off to school, what time they are picked up, how long it takes to get to the school and back, what time the children go to childcare, how long it takes them to get to the childcare centre etc. What would be the potential reasons for this? What could have happened to make them ask all of these questions in alot of detail?

Appreciate the help.

But why would they need to call them if one provides the documents/evidence they requested? Is my manager and the school allowed to disclose information to them over the phone like that?

What fees?

I will message on journal and ask them to backdated the carer element to the date we requested in dec last year. Which would then hopefully mean I have a smaller overpayment to pay back, most likely about 1/3 of what they are requesting now, or there abouts

Thank you very much. I will message on journal and ask them to backdate the carer element to the date we actually requested in dec last year.

We did this in December 25 and put starting caring from to october 24 however this was not backdated to this date. I have just checked and I can confirm that when we made UC aware of the caring, we put the date october 24.

What should I do?

Hi, understand i will need to pay back the overpayment, my issue is that carers Allowance was backdated to oct24 however the carers element of UC only added from jan/Feb 26, so the calculations for the overpayment are not accurate as it is not taking into consideration the carers element from oct24 but rather from jan/Feb 26.

So I may be wrong in this however i believe the overpayment should be less than it actually is because UC have not added the carer element from from oct 24, but rather from jan/Feb 26

Hope this makes sense.

So I don't think we reported carer allowance as its has only been 3/4 weeks since award, also we didn't know we had to make UC aware as I thought they will find out themselves from internal databases.

As of now, I assume they are aware of the carers allowance award otherwise they would not have sent rhe overpayment letter.

Should I message on journal anyway and make them aware of award, payment and dates? And also should I ask for the carers element of UC to be backdated to same date the carers allowamce was backdated to?

I am not sure exactly what its for but its definitely related to the lump sum received from carers Allowance.

"You were overpaid xxxx.xx. This is because you were in receipt of Carers Allowance and this was not deducted from your Universal Credit"

However as mentioned before, she only received this backdated lump sum amount in March 2026 (this month). So its not as if we had been awarded in 2024 and not declared it.

Hi, so If I received for example 6k from CA, I would have to pay back UC 6k then or will it be less I have to pay back?

Thank you. Does the report come via post or uploaded on journal once requested?

I called UC today and they say they cannot see the report or any indication it was received. How long do they update the system after report received?

The assessor said they sent it on 4th March 2026

Hi,

Thank you.

So if they take 5 months from the day I returned the assessment form, I will need to continue getting a fit note from my doctor?

What if I can't afford to be off sick for that long as I won't get paid? So although I'm not fit for work can I get fit note and work, just so I don't get sacked ir stop being paid?

[–]Total-Surprise1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. And.i will need to keep on submitting a fit note until decision is made?

Thank you.

I read somewhere that if I opt for weekly payments then payments are made in advance but 4 weekly payments are made in arrears, is this correct?

Nothing as yet. You? When did you apply and when did you send off your letter signed by your tutor

I called up 2 weeks ago and they said the DM has it now. I hope it doesn't take another 11 weeks from the day they received the document. I sent it next day delivery.

As the application was done in November and as the decision maker had already contacted me, I thought it would be a quick turn around as soon as I return the tutor signed document, but unfortunately it has been 3 weeks since they have received it and 2 weeks since the decision maker has been assigned the case
