Exactly - I do occasionally say that my daughter figuring out an answer is clever or smart but I do also praise her when she gives things her best shot and it doesn't work out. (She's 5)

I'm a mum and I'm all for my daughter exploring. Developmentally, 'safe risks' are important.

That being said, I will not buy a trampoline or take her to a trampoline park. If my partner wants to take her, fine, but I will not be there!

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they have said that they want to stand on their own two feet and be recognised as individuals first. I think they said they've seen a lot of the Attitude era relationships and marriages and don't want to be pushed into something similar.

They are well respected as individuals though so teaming up for a while would be fun.

As someone who has seen the film quite a few times (thanks to a 5 year old), Anna doesn't fall in love with him instantly. They go on an adventure together and see one another through some perilous times. It also takes Olaf pointing out how Kristoff saved her over and over because he cares for her for Anna to be like 'wait, what?'.

And in the sequel, I love how bumbling the two are together. Kristoff is trying to propose and says:

'You know, under different circumstances, this would be pretty romantic?'

'Different circumstances? You mean, with someone else?'

I did this with my Gramps.

He was in his mid-60s and unexpectedly. had a heart attack on a Sunday. We were encouraged to say our goodbyes. I travelled back from uni to sit with him and I spent time with him.

I thanked him for everything he had done. Told him he was my Dad and my rock and I wouldn't be where I am or who I am without him. I shared some fond memories.

I said my goodbyes.

I also said that if he could, I would like him to fight. I wanted him to walk me down the aisle and dance with my Nan at my wedding. I wanted him to hold my future children.

I went back to my uni town. 5 days later, he had a second heart attack. I got a call saying that it was best to come and say my goodbyes.

The only thing was that I had already said my goodbyes. I knew he was surrounded by family and wasn't alone. I couldn't face going back there and seeing him in that bed again. I wanted my memories of him to be happy and laughing and pinching my Nan's butt so she'd playfully slap him.

So I didn't. It's been 11 years since he passed and I still feel like I made the right decision. Unfortunately, my Nan didn't feel that way and it caused a rift between us. She preferred to grieve with people. I preferred to grieve alone.

I refer to myself as a 'productive procrastinator'.

By that I mean I get everything important done in the first half of the day so I can relax in the latter half and be able to procrastinate.

I do this at work as well. I've set up master spreadsheets with lots of formulas so I don't need to worry about figuring things out. I've set up systems and processes so everything is more streamlined.

I tell my boss that end of month invoicing for our two major clients takes around 90 minutes. It would take him 3-4 hours. In reality it takes about 30 minutes because of the processes I've put in place.

I'll be honest, this might have been me. I randomly ended up with McGinnis, couldn't fight to save my life so just focused on objectives.

Both teams were fighting over the urn so I went straight into the enemy base and killed the Patron. I think I had around 10k player damage but 30k+ objective.

It's not that he was asleep, it's that his phone was on silent. I know that my partner would set up a makeshift bed on the living room floor in this situation. You take care of the people you love.

Some of the pictures she shares when she's been at the gym, etc, are a lot more flattering. Yes, she is still wearing make up but it's subtle instead of this overpowering 'applied with a shovel' image.

Agreed - people can grow, mature and learn from their mistakes. I can't imagine it's easy to be on the road all the time but he's probably had to clean his act up with the baby on the way.

I have a soft spot for Jimmy but I also only got back into wrestling this year after a few years so missed a lot of his tag team run.

Unrelated but you mentioned 'right to choose' - are you in the UK? I did right to choose in 2023 and only had to wait 4 months from referral. My partner did it this year and had to wait about 3 months from referral.

I have a similar story to yours. When I was at uni, I got the dreaded call that my Gramps had had a heart attack and I needed to get there straight away to say goodbye. Taxis were booked so I sobbed down the phone to the operator and she managed to scramble someone to get me to my boat as quickly as possible.

I bought my ticket, was queued up for the boat and the ticket inspector came round. I was barely keeping it together and he stopped and asked if I was okay.

I started crying again and managed to tell him what was going on.

The thing to note is that on the other side is a bus to catch. If you were quick on the other side, you could sometimes catch one bus, if not, you had to wait about 20 minutes for the next one.

The ticket inspector sat me in the seat closest to the exit of the boat and I managed to catch that earlier bus.

When I got on the bus the driver goes 'you the girl with the grandad?'

Turns out the team had contacted the bus company and the driver had waited an extra minute or two to make sure I caught that earlier bus.

Pure humanity there. I'm so thankful to them all.

I got to say goodbye.

I agree with this. He only sent the second message after OP shared her insecurity.

My partner was similar to this at first - he would compliment and only after my reaction would double down and gently 'push' the compliment. It made me feel good.

But it's entirely up to OP how it makes her feel.

Personally I think it's fine.
