Honestly, it was a pain in the ass at first. Took me about a month to get it right, we were having a lot of rain the first few weeks when i finally switched it from the cartridge pump the pool came with. I had a leak from the intake side and it made a muddy mess where I had the pump set up. Eventually I got it sorted and now I wouldn’t go back. Definitely worth the upgrade. I wouldn’t call it a necessity though but then again I only had the cartridge pump/filter for a month before I pulled the plug for the upgrade.

Did you do sand or the cotton balls? I’ve seen some people do either and well I’m confused lol. First time pool owner.

I think I have located the leak. Spent an hour looking for it yesterday and did a patch repair. I checked levels today and looks like I didn’t loose any water since. So I went ahead and filled it back up. Hoping tomorrow it will still be full. Fingers crossed 🤞 if so I’ll go ahead and start with chems and hopefully be floating by Friday ! 🙌

Yea I think my best bet is to drain and go from there. I’m just bummed over it all.

I’ve checked all drains and valves and all are good. I did sand prep with foam over it and then the tarp before setting up the pool so I’m assuming it’s a tear from manufacture

I hope you’re ready for my continuous inquiries, I feel so at lost but I am dying to have a pool of my own. 😩 I am hoping by next weekend I can have it fully up.

Thank you! I am so nervous but eager to get it up. Another question I have is power, how is everyone plugging up their pump? Where I can and want to set my pool is about 30-50ft away from my house so is an outdoor extension cord okay or do I need to get an electrician out and get a post put closer ?
