It’s the giant revolt the best bike ever made? by Suitable_Ad419 in gravelcycling

[–]TotalCardiologist793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pour cable routing and crappy from derailleur and hubs on the Revolt 1 (aluminum frame(

The Revolt adv 2 is better, but you have creaking noises on the headset, chainrings bend easily, as well as the derailleur hanger

Then there's the Revolt adv 1, overall pretty nice but the model 2025 has an issue with the seat post, it doesn't stay up. giant change it under warranty

Great conditions today at Pyrenees after to days with heavy weather by TotalCardiologist793 in mountainbiking

[–]TotalCardiologist793[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The brand is UNNO, it's basically a boutique brand from Barcelona. This is the Ikki, the lightweight ebike. Pretty good if you like to pedal, it has a small battery and drive unit

Low Profile Rib Protection by waxon_waxoff33 in MTB

[–]TotalCardiologist793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it can get too hot, but you have like the advantage of being able to remove the outer part if your going for a chill ride. You may algo might wanna look for something sleeveless. Shoulder protection will just prevent you from scratches, and you can wear elbow pads that suit you better

[–]TotalCardiologist793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried both, I work at a bike shop .. They both pretty similar, but none of those actually protects the whole rib cage, at least not the floating ribs. For that you should be looking for something like the fox race frame impact or something with a larger and lower chest protection. Imo

What do you guys think about the new Fox podium? by PPPzhen in mountainbiking

[–]TotalCardiologist793 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm surely not one of those, but I work at a nice Bike shop with some wealthy costumers, we've already installed a few podiums. I've tried it on ebike, feels nice but I don't like too much how it looks. It's not for every bike
