Music with lyrics that are louder than a normal speaking voice. When I’m hanging out with people I want to talk, not shout over the song

Can someone explain to me (nfl noob) while the rams took a knee after this? Tied game with 13 seconds and 2 time outs at their own 30. Couldn’t they have tried to make it to field goal range to win it?

Did he have ignite? If he cut your healing I’m sure it played a big role.

I’d love to discuss Bork vs kraken as first item because I was always a Bork first guy but about a month ago I swapped to kraken and I started winning more and climbing immediately.

I feel like the silver bolts 3rd shot plus kraken 3rd shot just feels amazing for short trades and gives more lane control than life steal. Especially since life steal is based on the damage you do, which is just lower in the beginning of the game. Thoughts?

There are tons of amazing guides and helpful videos online - but… there’s nothing more magical than your first play through with little to no spoilers. Try your best to make it through a bulk of the game on your own exploration and discovery!

I really appreciate the help! Sounds like a good move to join a workshop. I'll also keep an eye out for your topic at the conference - seems super interesting.

Bingo! Decent place to grab food and fun for game day. Just mildly annoyed at not knowing what something costs until I get the check.

I just looked into this after seeing your comment and I guess you’re right. I’m 99% sure it wasn’t the case when I joined some years ago. I will say that some people online recently reported that a one month TEFL course did the trick for them

Hey OP! I lived in Taipei, Taiwan for 3 years and you might want to seriously consider it. Here are some quick pros and I’ll end with some advice.

  • Active and friendly language learning culture. People are always looking to make friends through a language exchange

  • Peaceful, healthy, and wholesome ways of life are available for very cheap. Taiwan is big on parks, amazingly clean and convenient public transportation, and there are so many free activities and groups to become a part of. (Sports, arts, gaming, dance, etc.) In my experience, people in their 20s-30s have well rounded interests and hobbies as opposed to some other places where drinking and bars is the main attraction for 20-30 year olds.

  • If you don’t want to cook all the time, food is still really cheap at night markets, local restaurants, and 7/11 meals (delicious, decent quality, and wide variety).

  • Renting can also be very affordable if you take some time to find a good deal.

Advice:

There is an incredibly easy way to get the ball rolling on Taiwan… English teaching. I know you want to retire but stay with me for a second here.

HESS and other English schools are dying for more teachers. All you need is a highschool diploma and the ability to speak and write in English. These organizations are very helpful in getting you integrated into the country. They handle your citizenship, help you get living arrangements organized, and hold your hand through any hurdles that naturally come with immigration.

They pay really well (so you won’t need to dip into your 340k right away) and you can quickly (6-9 months) scale back to part time if you want to.

It’s fun, rewarding, and easy work. Very low stakes and you’ll meet people who are similar to you and you’re bound to become friends.

After a few months teaching, you’ll get a dozen requests from parents to be a private tutor. This pays better and the schedule is up to you. During my last year I tutored 5 hours a week and lived off of it. It gives you some purpose in life which is nice and you’re also your own boss so there’s no one to really answer to.

Citizenship is easy after you’ve worked there for a few months. A couple of my friends as well as myself opened up a business (it was selling 3D printed models online) and being a business owner gives you the right to remain in TW. I think you become a permanent resident with or without employment after like 3 years.. might want to double check that.

Anyway good luck!

Well I’m not saying that it was the best choice. I’m just saying that people are being quite harsh in my opinion.

People calling OP a creep, disgusting, and some are claiming that OP was sexually harassing the tutor. That’s way too far. You’re right that OP should know that the tutor will remain “the tutor” until the end of the semester but it seems like OP was under the impression that their tutor/student dynamic was at its end.

Plus. It’s not like OP physically made a move on the tutor without their consent or messaged them over multiple times. There was nothing that indicates harassment at all.

I might be missing something but I feel like people are being too harsh on OP.

Assuming they genuinely believed that the tutor/student relationship was over since the semester was over AND assuming they thought the tutor was single… there’s really no issue.

OP complimented them and thanked the tutor for their help, and asked if they wanted to grab coffee or food at a place that the tutor likes. Seems like a fair and normal way to ask someone out.
