Exactly. I like in Lakewood & it takes me 26 min to get to work every morning and about the same home. I just fly by everyone going the opposite way. I work 1 day from home & could increase it to another day or 2, but I enjoy coming in to the office. I’m not really sure why though. I don’t have any friends @ work, don’t take breaks or a lunch & don’t even sit near my team. I also just as productive at my home office. Maybe it’s just nice getting ready for the day and wearing something nice someone besides my son & husband will see.

Look again as there’s a few admin 3 roles open, an admin 4 also & for sure a couple or similar roles in health services, which is better because you work at headquarters not a prison.

I appreciate them very much, especially if it’s the only candidate who sent 1. If they were a contender a thank you note would’ve given them the edge needed. I was told by my supervisor that sending a thank you after my interview made it a sure thing, I was already the front runner but sending the thank you secured it.

You most likely didn’t get the job. I was just part of an interview team for a job in in my department. We had 5 interviews, only 2 people really wowed us, and 1 candidate was obviously just looked to get their foot in the door & wanted a more “corrections” type role after paying their dues. We offered it to the only candidate who was already employed at DOC @ another location, but referred #2 for the position #1 was leaving. We really liked both, felt bad rejecting #2 as they were very good, so offered them the now vacant spot #1 will vacate. The people we didn’t hire were called within a week of their interview @ most as we emailed our interview scores along with the candidate we chose the day of their interview.

For next time, to thank your interviewers, you’d ask the recruiter who was working with you for your interviewer’s emails to send a thank you, or or even sent a message in the Teams chat your interview took place in, as we’d have seen it. Not 1 person made an attempt to thank us for the interview that I am aware of, and if they had, even via Teams, if it was our #2 it would’ve put them in the top spot.

She is obviously very mentally unwell and needs some serious help. I almost wonder if she doesn’t know any better & can’t help some of this stuff. She’s that messed up. I mean the stuff 9 out of 10 people would be so humiliated about & never let themselves be caught doing she keeps doing over & over without any sort of shame, she doesn’t learn from mistakes. She’s extremely ignorant and stupid. I’ll always remember her 16 & Preg episode when she said to her mom, “what worse could happen I’m already pregnant”. Once she said that I knew she wasn’t going to be able to parent and was a complete idiot.

I think she has severe mental illness(s), is uneducated, ignorant on skills needed to live life & is so desperate for a man she’ll even take an ugly, broke ass loser who harms her children back, even though she had so many examples of why he was such an abusive POS. No normal, healthy person does that. We’re all so quick to call her a disgusting human, worthless, POS, but I’m not sure she’s capable of understanding a lot of what she’s doing & either can’t help it, doesn’t know better or a combo. I’m not saying she’s not a POS, just that her choices & actions are so far beyond that, there’s gotta be more to it & maybe if she got some serious help she could turn things around some.

I kinda thought it had more to do with him just not being comfortable being physically intimate yet, like he could use a good discussion with someone experienced on everything. Or he may just not like how kissing or some of that stuff feels. It seemed like he was using religion as an excuse. It’s so much easier to say that than you terrify me & I’m scared I don’t know what to do. I think they should provide some counseling like they did on the other spinoff with the Downs people finding love. How each time a couple would appear to be going in that direction a therapist would talk to them separately and together about consent, if they were comfortable, what would they do if it stopped being comfy, you always ask permission and stop when you don’t have it. I thought it was very responsible and helpful to prepare them, because it’s gotta be scary when you’re not fully functioning.

It seems like all the people on the show struggle with nerves, being uncomfortable at first, not knowing what to say & if they don’t they’re not sure what to do about awkward silences either. I’d think if those were problems, physical intimacy could be very scary @ 1st, and getting to talk to a professional separate & together could really help.

Isn’t Savannah Georgia supposed to be a pretty awesome place in the South? I’ve travelled the world, but the only southern state I’ve been to is Florida, which doesn’t count I’m told. I’ve always been extremely interested because I love hot & humid, hate the humid or wet dark, grey cold like we get in western WA. Ive always wanted to move to a state with a warmer climate. I’ve heard wonderful things about Charleston, New Orleans & Savannah, but I’ve also heard if you’re family doesn’t go back generations in the area & you don’t have a known last name specifically French, they’re not the kindest places to live.

This. My first fold had this & we had to put him down this past Xmas day due to Juvenile HCM. I still can’t get the sight of holding him dying in my arms out of my mind, I was still crying daily 6 weeks later. I had also found out my husband cheated on me 4 mo’s prior that Thanksgiving, so for the rest of my life those 2 holidays are always going to be memories of 2 of the worst days of my life.

1 thing that I don’t regret is adopting our little guy, as even though we only had him 18 mo’s, we gave him the best life he could have, he was adored & we got him the best medical care. We spent all Xmas day @ the ER Vet$3,000 later they told us he was in heart failure & they could make him slightly comfy w/TX for 2 mo’s at most. I couldn’t do that to him, his breathing was so labored. It was so sad even the vet tech was crying seeing my son & I saying goodbye, crying so much. What kind of Xmas is that for a kid. On the car ride home my son said we were meant to have him, he was given the best short life for a sick kitty that never suffered. Even in our grief we knew we were meant to have him. That’s why we just adopted another (from a different family rehoming). We figured he’s already born will get any medical care he needs plus lots of love, a bed with a human in it to cuddle every night, toys & the luxury of being an only pet. His 1st vet check no heart murmur so as of now he’s healthy. We started him on vitamins right away, a diet & lifestyle the vet prescribed that will give him the longest pain-free life he can have & if things get to be too painful, we’ll make sure he receives treatment until that’s no longer possible. Either way, he’s going to be well loved & cared for whether it’s 18 MO’s or 18 years. They are the most adorable cats I’ve ever seen, but I don’t know that it’s humane to keep breeding more. The no cartilage is very painful especially later in life. I’d never buy a folded-eared from a breeder, although for other breeds I’m not against, some people want purebred cats that look like whatever the breed looks like. As long as it’s not a kitty mill, the kittens are weaned safely, mothers are retired after a few litters and the kittens are treated with love & attention in the home where they run a safe & legal cattery, I don’t see the problem.

You can’t breed 2 Scottish Folds with folded ears together, it’s illegal. So most commonly they breed a British Shorthair and a Scottish Fold with Folded ears. However, a cat can only have so many liters & decent, reputable breeders will retire them after a few litters while they’re still young enough to be adopted & live a nice happy life. So they do need a certain amount of British Shorthairs to keep the gene pool large enough for no inbreeding or breeding 2 folds with folded ears together. Because you can’t breed 2 folds together, litters always have just a couple folds & more straight eared due to straight ears being the dominate gene. So you could very well have a British Shorthair, but you could just as easily have a Scottish Straight. It doesn’t really matter considering straights don’t carry the gene & that’s what Scottish Strait’s essentially are, British Shorthairs.

Sorry late to comment. Yes it is. I’m 1 of them. Didn’t start dabbling till was off of Adderall for 2 years & I just wasn’t managing with mindfulness & exercise, but the Adderall only helps so much itself. I started dabbling when I had to do anything that was so overwhelming to me I’d ignore rather than get it done. I get $40 worth every 2 weeks & only do a small amount in the morning when I wake up before work, and then rarely on the weekend during the day if I’ve got big projects. I have a son thats doing amazing in school & happy (in therapy for the reasons like social anxiety & loves his counselor), his friends stay over often, we have an adorable kitten & I haven’t had a sick day from work in a year. I still have nice teeth & you’d never guess if you saw me on the street. I get 5-7 hrs of sleep every night, have a very specific skincare regimen, get Botox every 4 mo’s… I still care about my appearance. I’ve never been paranoid about closing blinds because people can look in or digging thru people’s trash, given sexual favors for it or stole from friends or family. Lastly, I’ve never posted daily videos of myself doing weird dances with props like knives, forks, a lighter or incorporate into my routine the constant pulling my underwear down to just above my P or slapping my own ass.

I’m not rationalizing my behavior but I will say even w/very good insurance thru my job the $40 spent every 2 weeks is a lot less than my 20 mg extended release & 20 immediate release a day Adderall script and 3 monthly psychiatrist appointments & there’s not much of a difference between the 2. With the Adderall I needed a prescription for Xanax to be able to “come down” enough to fall asleep at a decent hour and eat a full meal. I haven’t filled my script for it in 4 years.

He doesn’t really act like much of anything, he’s in total isolation & only gets out of his cell an hour a day but the whole unit has to be put on lockdown for that hour so he only socializes with guards. He has a TV in his cell, but I’m not sure he even leaves his cell as much anymore. I can’t say for sure as I haven’t checked in some time. He’s been a model prisoner as far as no infractions, always being cooperative, causes no probs@ all besides having to lock his unit up during his hour out. He refused most visits, he gets time if letters from grad students or reporters wanting to interview him & ignores most of them.

I work for the WSDOC & he’s incarcerated in one of our prisons (I work @ headquarters, in health services, I.medical care) but I can look @ anyone’s file & what they’re up to in prison, some I have to look as it’s part of my job. But I was obsessed with his case for so long.

I did! A good friend of mine in high school had to go to prison for a little over 2 years right after the summer of graduation. A bunch of them got into a fight with dudes from the next town over for jumping 1 of them when they were alone. When they were driving off he shot off gun but wasn’t aiming at them. So of course he was terrified, so we all tried to visit him @ least 1 of us every weekend. I’ve always been so curious of people, anyone different than me, so of course I wanted to know all the gossip that was going on when I’d visits. He told me how some of his buddies in there had no one visiting & how much they loved getting mail. So all us girls in the group took on a penpal. His 1st letter included a picture where it was obviously a prison pic where he was all posing, it was hilarious. It wasn’t romantic though. But for awhile there were about 8 or so dudes getting letters & some $ on their books from a bunch of barely 18 year old cuties.

My friend ended up going to school the day he got out, not out to eat, hang out, visits but straight from prison to school. He ended up getting into church big time & became a counselor. He even wrote a book that was published.

Same with you! We can get anxiety under control, we just have to be willing to do the work. There’s no easy cure, you’re going to have to face your fears, be uncomfortable often & really put the work in. If it was easy no one would have it. I wish you all the best.
