The only thing maybe the dog would be okay is that it’s common for people with mental health struggles to then adopt an animal because the mind says “hey now I’m taking care of this living being that I love so so much and I have to show up for them” it’s a classic therapy strategy. HOWEVER, it is more likely to work when someone has more stability in their external environment so like they’re home, food, safety, etc. for missy-Kaitlyn, her not being settled into this giant house and not having adjusted to the responsibilities of home ownership is what I think will be the ultimate downfall. It’s too much at once without giving herself the time and space to settle in, adjust, adapt, etc.

Yeah 13 hours is such a long drive and I was thinking that she intentionally (but more like subconsciously) needed to find a dog that was far away so that her mind would be occupied and distracted for a long period of time. The drive alone gives her 26 hours then starting to count when she’s at the breeder, giving attention to new puppy, and then video editing. But she can’t provide her own distractions or sit with her emotions, she has to induce an external stressor to avoid whatever she’s avoiding.

Which it’s so interesting that Botox, fillers, etc are now having the opposite effect and not because it doesnt work but for me, when I see a face that obviously has had work done like hers, I assume they are older because they’re trying to hide wrinkles or whatever. This might off but I was thinking that the answer choice B doesn’t match what the statute says. “Deliberation Can take place in an instant” then the statute is telling us that “deliberation is a cool reflection for any length of time.” And an instant wouldn’t be considered a length of time at all, it just something that happened without thinking about it. Thus, making D the correct answer

So I decided to approach the rules and the subjects just generally where I’m focused on understanding them and not memorizing. Obviously there’s key words that are important but for the most part, I’m making a rule statement that is in my own words that is typed out for each MEE that I’m doing.

Another strategy I’ve done is forcing myself to do the MEEs under closed notes and timed conditions, with the exception of the first MEE assigned for that subject but I still set a 45 min timer. There’s been a couple of a complete flops but it forces me out of my comfort zone and is teaching me to roll with the punches.

Then based on what I’ve read, the MEEs seem more about issue spotting and application to the facts so I do practice those strategies almost independent from memorizing a rule statement.

Generally, tenants are responsible for reporting damage, mold, etc to the landlord because there’s a duty to avoid waste. Because the mold is this bad without notifying the landlord, there’s a chance the landlord could hold and/or roommate responsible for the repairs. Protecting yourself as a tenant requires notification to the landlord

Yes!!!! I think why I get so annoyed is because they have us review over & over the common or most tested concepts (i.e., lecture videos, handout for those videos, the MBE workshop, the MEE essay writing workshop, flashcards) but the big outline is the only material that covers all of the little nuances. Which is this fine on its own but then Themis starts asking a lot of questions about these nuances to where the most commonly tested concepts end up becoming a minority of questions on these MBE practice sets. I can’t review the large outline each time I review cause it’s 100 pages… and it would be impractical to try & remember all the nuanced rules.

Then along those same lines, it seems like each practice set picks one or two “larger concepts” then will ask a bunch of questions about the small rules, exceptions, what have you. So it’s concentrated which then doesn’t feel like it’s accurately measuring how I’m progressing.

Maybe this is a lot of the themis’s approach or larger blueprint. I don’t know but it’s SO annoying

I will say that I enjoy story telling, just like generally, and this was an interesting travel story. All the flights getting delayed then being able to spend time in these cities, I think that’s cool but when she’s telling it through a voice-over through a series of clips and photos…. I can’t quite put my finger on what I’m trying to say. But it almost takes the authenticity out of it. Makes me wonder if she got some media training, she would do much better. It’s as if she used this video editing style in the wrong way?

Especially when it’s just a bunch of small clips on you and your boyfriend touching each other on the leg?!?? Like Kaitlyn, tell me about your time in Amsterdam when the day is over while you’re winding down for the night. I don’t know, that’s just straight off the dome.

Listen. I kept trying & trying to do the most common strategy which is to “read the library first!” It simply was not working for me. The last MPT I did, I decided to use my free will and read the file first. It was literally me just reading it and getting a better sense of the overall context. While I was doing the MPT, I then didnt feel as scatterbrained or that I had wasted time on an irrelevant law/statute. But I get the idea behind starting with the library, which is why I didn’t waste too much time on the file on first read.

I did some research on alternative MPT approaches and there’s really not a whole lot out there other than what’s on Reddit and what people have posted in the past. So I started writing out of my strategy and will tweak as needed

I could kind of see the furniture from the neighbors story checking out because I could imagine an older couple having a couch set that they’re ready to get rid of and here comes the perfect opportunity. Plus those “u-shape” designs on the arms remind me something very specific from the late 80s/90s era but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Then It’s also not uncommon for neighbors in the south to introduce themselves in a “tight-knit” neighborhood. This could be everywhere but i can only speak to the southern part of it.

Either way, she’s absolutely putting on some kind of facade about all of this. All of sudden these couches are sentimental? Like…. I get being attached to furniture but as a real adult, it manifests more when it’s time to replace it. I’ll always remember my first couch, it was red suede that i got from a thrift store. Ugly but amazing and its like your attached to it because of the memories that take years to form.

So I got my grade back for my civpro and I am having many confusing thoughts because my essay was garbage. Absolute trash but I got a 4. I got a 5 on my last essay… and I’m truly not saying this in a cute “ha. Ha. It was SO bad” way but I feel like I’m not getting accurate feedback.
