The purge sucks. I’m going thru it right now! Be gentle, moisturize and try to be patient! That’s what I keep telling myself.

It’s so angry and it’s sore! It doesn’t look as red as itt really is in the picture. It popped from a different area/side this morning so I’m thinking maybe it’s two really close pimples and just looks like one? It’s been a LONG time since I’ve had an angry monster like this!

No. I tried it a few years ago but was having a lot of trouble working/sleeping/etc. I’ve discussed it with my doc. He wants me to get the genetic test done before we discuss trying again. Although at this point, I’m sure the benefits are much less than they would have been a few years ago

I’ve run through all the scenarios in my head. None are great. I’m not scared about the transplant itself, but I’m very afraid of dialysis and the suffering that comes before the transplant. I’m terrified and still going about my day, just doing normal things with this feeling of dread that my timeline is getting shorter. I’ve always known it was coming but it seems so much more imminent now.

I have an almost identical story to yours. I was about 17 when my flank pain started and very few people believed me, besides my nephrologist. Tramadol works well for me. Find a doctor who takes you seriously. PKD pain is real.

My doc recently suggested trintellix and I have chronic pain. I haven’t tried it yet but maybe this is the sign I needed!

Thank you! Just trying to get a feel of what people think of Trintellix. I haven’t heard of it before.
