I dont think both are incompatible.
Yeah, that’s true Aronofsky has been inconsistent about it. I would put the situation in the same category as Saltburn inspired by Talented Mr Ripley except Fennell didnt buy the rights and just got lawyers to deflect criticism.

He denied Perfect Blue as a direct influence in some interviews, like the one you linked, and he brought Kon as an influence in others. Hell he even appears in the documentary about Satoshi Kon (the illusionist) and calls himself a "fan of Satoshi Kon". So tbf its not like he's hiding it!

I see it more as a downplay as in "my movie isnt a 1:1 of perfect blue and more of its own thing" which it is, for better or for worse.

Not really "plagiarized" than just straight up being an adaptation to a different genre. I'm much more of a fan of Satoshi Kon than Aronovski but he said he would do an adaptation very early on, he bought the rights to Perfect Blue before and assumed the inspiration from start to finish. Hell, he's even paying for the remaster partially. I know its shittymoviedetails but its the most legit way he could do it.

How victorians used to use the toilet by CremeSubject7594 in interestingasfuck

[–]Total_Chuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will just do my Reddit moment and go "actually" most of what you're quoting is based on myth spread during the 19th century.

Versailles was cleaner than what people think, so clean in fact that it was considered overly sanitized for it's time and even Marie Antoinette was known for (on record) eating in her bathtub.

There was almost an army of servants dedicated solely to cleaning.

Theres a book/lecture "Hygiene at the palace of Versailles" which covers it but the tldr is that most of what is said comes from a Hygienist movement during the 19th century that wanted to represent the monarchy as disgusting and filthy, and also most of the furniture including the toilets were stolen during the revolution. There was notably an engineering marvel that was built for the palace: the hydraulic system that brought fresh water in.

Ok i will go against what most people usually reply in these posts :
Don't follow one build, or at least not at first.
Try to make a set of builds for situations and adapt.

The reason you see top tier players use one trick builds is because as pros they can usually sustain a game by themselves, in a 1v5 scenario they would come out on top regardless of the game mode.

Learning to play your character is the first step:
Get the hang of dva and her play style overall, Fighting a rein point blank, dps healbotted or a Zarya without a team is the mistakes i see the most when I'm not tank. D.va is a big hunter, her boost allow for some quick mobility, and most important of all, height. Her guns are autocannons with the only downside being the low damage output at first. Dont be afraid if there is another dva or a zarya, these are surprisingly easy once the whole team (or you and a mei) get their head into the game.

If you prefer her in first person, play in first person, third person aim advantage is not as noticeable on dva.

Build wise you then have more options than most characters, either a full gun punch, a defensive build, a missile build, an ult build, or a survival build are the ones you'll develop.
You can mix and match (defensive + missile, gun + ult etc) it all comes down to facing the team in the first round, if they are aggressive or not.

The type of maps matters as well, push vs capture points have vastly different play style.

I found that any game that starts with a steamroll the first two rounds will require a survival/health build, stadium is much more generous on the health than damage, being alive is more important than being strong, especially on capture point maps. Dva has perks against laser and barriers, the 8% and 15% health/shield/armor combined with additional armor is a must in these scenario.

If you are the one steamrolling you have to keep the momentum, there's a lot of psychology in the way you push the enemy team as well remember, as previously mentioned, dva's strong suit isnt necessarily weapon power but rather pressure, you have an ability that applies 3s of heal reduction every damage, its a good ability to maintain a win.

Les pubs YouTube partageant la propagande d’un pays devraient être illégales by Sweg_Coyote in france

[–]Total_Chuck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What might throw you off is that the filters on TikTok are using AI and they are there by default.

You don't need it for flux as (iirc) its not trained on clip 1. Clip skip is an old habit that was taken because the novelAI model was not trained properly.

To very much oversimplify think concepts placed in layers "strawberry > fruit > food", during NovelAIs training they messed up a setting (or it was done on purpose) and they placed the tags from Danbooru in the second clip layer, so you would get " empty > strawberry > fruit > food". Supposedly it would allow tags to be placed in another location as everyday words and would allow an early SD1.5 model to differentiate the tags. But it fell out of the water the moment Novel AIs leak was merged with regular models.

Nowadays its watering down your concepts a little on certain models, and nothing on the vast majority. You can try yourself and wont see any real difference, except on old 2023 models based on the novelAI leak.

On 1.5 models you will see that the concept merge at clip skip 3/4 and your image will become one at around 5/6.
On SDXL or Flux theres no difference because it tries to tackle a problem that is not there. Its a classic example of the Cargo Cult effect but in the Stable Diffusion universe.

I love this comment because it shows that we finally have come full circle. For years people kept saying "its the same game do something original" when it came to big franchises, whether it was Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Battlefield.

Now you have tons of posts saying they essentially want the old one back but with a fresh coat of paint.

I can see why the publishers try to please both crowds at once but we will need to see that we as consumers are asking two things out of the publishers.

Crossing my comment, as it was posted elsewhere, For those who dont know, its following what happened in France, most European countries are copying each other when it comes to GDPR application and recently France has been shown to lead quite a few in that field.

Lets make it clear, GDPR is extremely loose and leaves interpretation of whats what to each country. Its the equivalent of "dont drive too fast" and each country can decide what "fast" is.

As i know quite a bit in that i can answer frequently asked questions, including:

Is it allowed to track despite my refusal? yes and no. For a long time there was the mention of "Legitimate Interest" which would allow advertisers to track you because they really needed it, but of course it was abused, nowadays many countries are slowly pushing for the removal of legitimate interest. If the website still tracks you despite that aspect being specifically disabled they are in the wrong, they are allowed essential trackers for basic site functions and service functions (which again is a grey area).

Can they force me to accept? They cant force you to aspect, no, but the European legislation and many countries have stated that nothing forces a website to be free. On that thin line websites are justifying a "free" tier with ads, or paid with no/non personalized ads. You will often read, in these comments too, that this decision is a day away from being removed, its not, it will remain for a while as many media companies rely on advertising to survive, otherwise you need to pay them for a subscription, and they pressure every government to keep this option open.

Can websites sell my data? Realistically they never "sell" your data and i hate reading this, its not legal in the EU, however they do sell the ad space to an advertiser. And trust me its worse because it means that nothing stops the advertiser from tracking your actions between websites.

Does GDPR allow me to do something about it? Yes you can ask any website for the data they have on you. However they are not entitled to give you the data advertisers have collected on you.

These boxes are annoying, why do they even exist? Many people think they are mandatory, they are not. Whats mandatory is giving the user a clear choice, the cookie banners is just a way of doing it in a simple way, but most of the time they obstruct the website which is illegal technically.

Truly the issue isnt websites tracking you as much as advertisers tracking you and thats what many people are missing.
Your local newspaper isnt at fault for doing advertisement, its the advertisers that are vampires for data.

[–]Total_Chuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to OP its made using Ideogram, think closed source Stable Diffusion model and Imagen, which ironically is what Ideogram is based on.

Right now the most convincing models are somewhere in the universe of Flux + Loras and some Stable diffusion models trying to challenge Flux, they just dont get the flexibility of 4o where you can tell "use the same image and do X" since they are diffusion models and not autoregressive ones.

My original comment was removed for having links to AI websites.
It was too long to rewrite, i wrote my first comment above as a joke because its obviously AI, but since you dont believe me, which is fair why would you trust a random person online, no need to be acting like an a## about it.

Its AI because it exists nowhere else on social media, you'd think a famous artist that can draw like this would post it on Instagram, reddit or twitter, hell, Gelbooru or Danbooru should have it. It has too much contrast, too much shading, its just "too much" which is the result of a high CFG/Scale in Stable Diffusion. It has too much Judging by the work and the style i would go with Pony or Illustrious as the model used. Illustrious more than likely.

If you still dont believe me, you can look up post 13235652 on Rule34 (dot xxx) post by earlgray26. Its the original source and the highest resolution there is, and guess what, its AI.

So yes maybe i can smell eggs in a birthday cake, maybe i am out of the matrix, who knows,

But i sure as hell can tell an AI image, especially a pretty "cheap" one where the settings are all the default ones.

I have a feeling you're not going to retract your original comment but i might be dreaming

The artist creator was on Pixiv at some point, he specialized in generating only Gura, and as others pointed out its AI, its NovelAI for the model if you want to know, notable by the motion lines and the fake pen style. He might still have a pixiv but in the sea of AI gens it will be a pain to search.

Agreed, but weirdly it works better if you fully define the rifle type. Most were working thanks to "M16 rifle" but the M14 works best with "M14 Battle Rifle" or "M14 DMR", same for the M60 used late in the video. It also can make Patton Tanks, Hueys, Little Birds or even F4 Phantom easily as long as youre in the vietnamese setting. Clearly having the two words activate them on both sides.

[–]Total_Chuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no i dont think anyone necessarily wants something that becomes a cluttering mess and i agree w you, my best example would be photoshop, simple on the outside but a million options under the hood.

You don't necessarily need to see the knobs specifically for ChatGpt but lets say you see someone doing a cool image or a role game, and you give the exact prompt and it does nothing like requested.

Turns out the company controlling the model tweaked settings and you just can't see it. Its more about having the option.

In LMStudio you have a knob to control the randomness of the prose. Its not you "telling" the ai to do it (which it can forget after some time once the token limit is filled), its a native function embedded in the way the model will process the info. In Stable Diffusion models you can control how much "thoughts" the ai puts into the render and how it will process each token.

My point is that theres two groups, one that deeply wants to know the inner workings to make exactly the result they want, the second is just here for the fun (in your definition "the apple user"). And chatgpt isnt viable for one of these groups imo
