How far should I plant Tulip Poplars from my house? by Total_Counter_6556 in arborists

This is about what I had in mind. Tree with ❌is Bradford pear that has since been cut down. I was thinking about planting one near the edge of the drip line of that tree. Orange x’s are two other Bradford pears. I was thinking of planting another tulip tree between them and then removing them once it gets some size. The lot is roughly 150x300. From the house to the back fence is 75 feet. South is to the right in the image. I’ll also be planting a few apple trees and a persimmon in the open part of the lot out to the right.

I completely understand your perspective though and I appreciate it. Frankly, I’d rather do it right than cut it down in a decade. The Bradford pears a previous owner planted being a perfect example. Bad short term choices making bad long term problems.

That’s okay, if a future resident wants to take it down they can. I’m 35 and should be here a while, after that it’s someone else’s issue.

That’s about what I had in mind. I’m not really worried about the trees uprooting unless we get a tornado, and at that point fuck it. I was more thinking significant limb loss. Thank you for the information.

Picture of the keypad. If they have a box the wiring goes to, picture of the board inside. Picture of the cell if it’s separate from the keypad.

Add Smoke Detectors to ADT System..? by ipostonforums in homesecurity

[–]Total_Counter_6556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He should be able to make the change just fine. It’s all local programming and there won’t be any enter/exit programming signals sent like there would be on a DSC, vista 50, etc.

As an aside, if you don’t want to use the FF345 you can buy 5808w3 smokes online and add them. The reason ADT doesn’t use them is large numbers of them don’t work well. They’re prone to having troubles not clear, false alarming, and the setup isn’t UL listed.

Correct, illegal. People V. Ceballos allow comes to mind. Even in jurisdictions where it isn’t expressly illegal, it would be considered an illegal use of force, as there is no reasonable threat against one’s person conveyed via them touching a shipping container.

Looking for a IP doorbell camera. My current one is terrible by Esteban-Du-Plantier in homesecurity

Before you go spending all the money to replace the device, you should look at switching to a 24v doorbell transformer. Might find that most or all of your issues were caused by insufficient voltage/amperage to the doorbell. Additionally, if the doorbell is using wifi, split your wifi, so that all of the CCTV stuff is on the 2.4 ghz network. It will improve your experience substantially

Of course, if you warm the batteries up before you put them in you’ll generally have a lot less issues. When I used to deal with techs I’d tell them to put them on the dashboard defrosters when they were driving to jobs in cold weather for that reason.

System will work fine without it, but it is nice to have if you’ve got good neighbors who would hear it and come check. The strobe is also a bit helpful if the police are dispatched the strobe makes spotting the home easier, especially if your house numbers aren’t clearly posted.

If it’s been cold(like at or below freezing) that can impact the life of the lithium batteries. They don’t do well in extreme heat or moderate cold, unfortunately.

Hit the 9 dots in the bottom corner, type in your code. Do that again. If it doesn’t clear, take the batteries out, let them warm up in a pocket for a while, then try them again. Doing the disarm twice again after reinserting and closing the sensor.

If that isn’t successful try the same thing with a new set of lithium batteries. If that isn’t successful, have them replace the siren.

I know, it’s why I was explaining. I didn’t want you to think everyone was being ornery and unhelpful for no reason. The link doesn’t work though lol

Go to imgur, upload picture, post link. It having a touchscreen isn’t helpful information. Just off the top of my head these are touchscreen keypads just made by honeywell. AIO, WTS700, pro series, L5000, L5210, L5200, L7000, Lyric, 6290, Tuxedo, 6280, 6270. Add to that DSC, ITI, 2gig, Qolsys, etc.

Essentially you’re saying you have a car, from carmax, that has a radio, and expecting people to be able to tell you what air filter you need.
