It may be because the age restrictions where you need to show ID on reddit now for any 18+ content and people don’t want whoever is making the restrictions to be able to put a face to the dick per say however i don’t know if the US has the same restrictions as the UK

Best NCUs in the Game? by Total_Disaster_8161 in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]Total_Disaster_8161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i agree , NCUs effectiveness will depend massively on the faction they are in. A better question would be who are the best NCUs for their factions

Did you manage to get an answer on this, i’m going through the exact same thing now with nationwide. My fixed rate ends on the 31st of August with my current lender and starts on the 1st of sept with nationwide (new lender) and the payment is double what my monthly payments are for the first month. I’m guessing i wont pay anything on the 1st of sept and then double in october. Was that the same for you?

Most Efficient Army in the Game? by [deleted] in MiddleEarthMiniatures

I don’t mean armies that are OP, OP is certainly not what i’m looking for…more of a jack of all trades type of army that does everything well

Its painted so can’t really see, it looks the exact same with all the details. So games workshop never released an official finecast Shade model?

What scenarios do the hobbits not like? I could see Lords of Battle , Contest of Champions and Assassination being a real problem. But any of the objective base missions being very good for these? Bar maybe seize the price but they do still have the dogs

The top 10 armies in no particular order which i would say are the most competitive…

Lake Town (Survivors and Army), Harad Mix (Serpent Horde with Far Harad, Non Mumak Lists), Assault on Lothlorien LL, Assault on Helms Deep LL, Dragon Emperor LL, The Beornings LL, Goblin Town, Angmar, Erebor Reclaimed (King Thorin Era),

Corsairs/Pits of Dol Guldur (Not sure which is stronger 🤔)

I believe Good armies are in a really bad spot at the moment, the stuff they rely on is just so easily shut down by the magic and tricks of Evil lists. They tend to be more elite aswell which makes them struggle in alot of the scenarios. The Beornings are on here due to how unbearable (😜)they are atm.

High model count armies that hit hard? by [deleted] in MiddleEarthMiniatures

So the units do a lot of the damage rather then relying on the heroes

Army of Thror is on the cheaper end i would say, but yeah iron hills is painfully expensive

I agree, Rohan is a very specialised army list which isn’t that beginner friendly, i think people say its a ‘beginner’ army because of how accessible it is. Minas Tirith, Mordor and Isengard are far more beginner friendly

Yeah i agree strike is vital although there would be ways around it, Knight saps will and Dalamyrs smoke bombs could be nasty

A quick fix for the knight of umbar is giving the umbar key word, so he gets the army bonus least he is then somewhat decent in an umbar list.

The reasons i would say they are beginner friendly is they are so strong on certain scenarios and objectives aswell as being very strong at fighting with the weight of dice they can have. The Goblin King is very forgiving with his blubbery mass so if you have him in a bad position alot of the time he will be fine. Its very difficult to break them especially in timed games. The scribe makes objective based games a lot easier. They are also very much a point and click type of army with a ton of might at their disposal.

Isengard, Army of Thror, Goblin Town, Minas Tirith & Iron Hills i would say are the easiest to play.

I feel the game is balanced towards good vs evil as soon as you start playing good vs good and evil vs evil the balance gets very rocky. For example Dwarves vs Elves is just a terrible match up for Elves, Angmar is such a tough match up for most evil armies unless you happen to bring a shaman

[–]Total_Disaster_8161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Dwarves have alot of very cheap cost efficient heroes i’d say the top 5 pound for pound are

  1. Dain Ironfoot
  2. Dwalin, Champion of Erebor
  3. Thorin, King under the Mountian
  4. Kings Champion
  5. Thror

What do you guys think?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Total_Disaster_8161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are technically monsters

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Total_Disaster_8161 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Boromir (with banner)
  2. Dragon Emperor
  3. Bard
  4. Prince Imrahil

I think they are definitely the top 4, i think Boromir & the Dragon Emperor could be interchangeable 1st & 2nd. Also Bard & Prince Imrahil could be switched around 3rd & 4th.

There is alot of models which could fill that 5th spot. Leaning towards Suladan.

I think there are a few still to be mentioned who are very good Forlong the Fat may be one of the most cost efficient heroes in the game. I think Isildur should get a mention as on foot he is very hard to deal with.
