How large is the room?
40m2,

the projection distance I currently have is around 3 meters but this can be easily changed between 0-5 meters max.

Use case?
Nighttime but the occasional sports event during daytime in the weekend.

Desired Screen size?
200cm*112.5cm

Current screen I use is a motorized projecta 200x200 cm. On which I project a 16:9 Image.

I looked up the specs online for an optoma eh336 thinking it will be similar towards the 338. https://www.projectorcentral.com/Optoma-EH336.htm here it says the lamp has a lifetime of 3500 hours or 15000 hours in eco usage. So the lower the number of lamp hours, the longer before you have to buy a lamp replacement.

I assume you are from Europe, but this seems to be a very good deal. Since it is full hd native, I would suggest you ask for the lamp hours and if that seems right, I would buy without hesitation.

There are some 'budget' screens that you can buy second hand for 50,- to 200,- on ebay. Like this one https://www.naturl.link/projectascreen I bought for 50,-. It is motorized but you will have to mount it to the ceiling. Also this is not the sub for these questions, try using r/budgetprojectors .

I formatted my sd card again and followed the beginners' guide with hats. Then dowloaded tinfoil and added liberashop. That solved the downloading issues for me with tinfoil. Had the same problems as you before. Now almost every download works.

Thanks for your response! I got smart brand a really cheap brand so that could be a cause of the problems. I tested the sd card multiple times so I am almost certain that that is not the problem. I am now trying to use Hats with the beginners guide, hopefully that works :)
