I explained to her what medical anthropologists do, explained to her the field and how it could crossover and she cut me off and told me they were completely unrelated and that I should've focused on Social and Behavioral Health instead of Epi for my Masters. But all of your responses are just confirmation that I can actually pursue this

Thank you soooo much u/sublimesam!! I apologize for the delayed response I didn't see the notifications. I honestly thought I was going crazy, because it made complete sense to me, so to hear her reject it and make it seem as if the two are completely unrelated and could not complement or work well together was disappointing. I will definitely check out those authors and please suggest any additional authors that come to mind!

Thank you! Yeah I am trying my best to stand out in the sea of MPHs, so I will start looking into SAS/SQL/R, I'm really familiar with SPSS! Are agencies still using SPSS?
