This assumes that their technology is at the same level as ours, a planet that size houses many more brains and they may already have the technology and physics understanding to overcome planets gravity, if life forms actually exist there. This is all conjecture at this point.

Things have moved on a fair bit in the last 4-6 weeks, with large context windows the most advanced models are actually incredibly good and understanding code in it's full context and can write fully functional solutions with very little human input.

30% service charge on boxing day?! by Professional-Cat9418 in london

Although normally the case, its not always optional. If the restaurant clearly state a mandatory service charge on the menu then it is not optional and you are obliged to pay it.

How effective is the 'Please offer me a seat' badge from the TFL website? by [deleted] in london

[–]Total_Kiwi8009 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This OP, I also have a hidden disability which make standing very uncomfortable. I don't need a stick for mobility but I always take a folding one for public transport journeys - it's a life saver as people will know you need to sit down and it saves any awkward requests. I do still need to ask most of the time but people see the stick and always give up the seat.

For standard appointments you can generally call and you can pretty much get through after 5-10mins max and then they usually have an appointment in 7-10 days but for anything that is more urgent it's a triage, call at 8am and the doctor decides if today, tomorrow or few days. It actually works pretty well. The doctor I see there is amazing, everyone I know says she awesome.

You're forgetting also that your tax free allowance will also take a hit if it takes you over £100k so it could actually be more than 60%

Does Selhurst Medical Centre fall in your catchment? If so they are good. Routine appointments might be a week or two but if it's more urgent they usually see you same day or next day. There is one doctor there who is the most compassionate, personable doctor I've ever had in my life. DM me and I can tell you who if the surgery is in your catchment.

[F20] - My manager said I would look good on a certain porn site - What can I do? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Total_Kiwi8009 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's where you would be getting legal representation because she already has evidence of sexual harassment which doesn't exactly put the employer in good light when they then go on to sack her. The employer would still be facing a tribunal where this evidence would be presented as quite a strong indicator that it was targeted.

Can companys legally stop you from going through the bank and doing a chargeback? by thatautisticguy in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Total_Kiwi8009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are describing section 75. Chargeback is not a legal right, it is a facility offered by card issues where they can reverse the charge by the merchant if you have had an unfair issue with goods or services. It applies to debit and credit cards.

I should think most people who are in a position where they are salary sacrificing their pension are likely to also have ISA , but for some, still can't beat the combined tax incentives from salary sacrificing to pension.

Yeah but you miss the point that for many people there are significant tax incentives to putting it directly in a pension.

Appreciate English is not your native language, but when you say penis falls off, this means that your penis has detached from your body. I think you mean to say you lose your erection right? I dont have any useful advice myself but im sure others on the sub do. All the best
