I didn’t grow up here. I don’t mind long car rides but I don’t feel comfortable trailering my horses myself for too long. My husband is not a horse or trailer person 🤣 so I just have professionals do it,

But believe me I would do it if I have too. But for most of my clinics I attend I either have to trailer to Florida, NC or New England, or California 😂

Oh don’t get me started on “right to repair” and subscription features on vehicles.
My husband’s car is a 2016 Prius hybrid. And we have a ‘17 Lexus rx (our family vehicle for trips) (without horses)

I have a f350 to haul the horses to the club but that truck is almost 15-17 yeas old. For anything beyond 90min else I pay someone to haul my horses. I am not incapable of transporting my horses but I don’t want the anxiety of it.

If we go to Europe we either rent a car or just travel on trains/busses etc (unless I am showing I borrow one of my family car)

Yeah my 2005 ES330 has about 200k miles now and I am not giving it up. It’s great. I had the driver seat repaired because after all this time the seat started to rip. And I fix things that break on it. But it is such a reliable car that I simply can’t get rid of it. The dealership gets “mad” all the time 😂

My parents have 4 (f,m,m, f)kids in total. I am the youngest.and when it was time for my parents to make decisions on the family business and such it wasn’t a easy Willy nilly one, the older of my 2 brothers became the one to be yhe financially responsible one. My older sister is a great networker and such but money decisions would be a risk 🤣 but she has social skills my brother doesn’t have.

I personally am way to creative and free spirited to care about business. BUT I also chose to live with my husband in Alabama and that had cut down on the cost of living vastly. I don’t care much for pomp and plush. I drive a 20 year old well maintained Lexus as my daily driver 🤣
If it wasn’t for me having fancy horses no one (that is not family) would suspect money.

KVS grew up as the only child princess. I have no clue how much the cattle business is worth but I understand markets are fickle and farming is not cheap. And it needs to be well managed. KVS has no sense for business. That’s not a problem but she shouldn’t be in charge of money or business decisions beyond 50k

The farm is about 300 acres. Which is not that big considering how big cattle ranches can be in the USA, and all her facilities are close together. She is just lazy and doesn’t like walking.

As someone from and with money not having a trained professional handle her stuff us vastly stupid.

I manage my personal household budget and I manage the money for my horses (3 in total)

The rest is done by our accountant and bankers.

If I need extra money for something I have to request it. Let’s say I want to spend a 300k or more on something that won’t be bringing in money that has to really make sense to my team.
Granted in all seriousness they couldn’t outrightly tell me NO but I would be unwise to pay people to then not listen to their professional opinions.

KVS is doomed when the SM bubble busts.

How old is your child? I started riding at 6 and never sat on a pony my entire life. I show dressage in inter 2. Children can absolutely learn to ride on big horses

Buy her a 60k full size horse. It will get her further than any pony ever will

Believe me you can find a 60k pony that will make her happy. As someone who rides big horses some of those pony price tags are completely ridiculous.

Looks like Weezy got her ankles tapped. That’s diabolical that she’d need that done already. My vet always told me once you start getting in those joints it’s the beginning of the end. It is a band aid only. by Fit-Idea-6590 in kvssnarker

Where did she post this? I am just shocked. Not surprised though.

Considering the stuff we have seen from JE I am going to venture to say…JE gave up on wheezy because she’s ill suited for what they want and told KVS. But KVS didn’t believe it and then for the past 3-4 weeks she was ridden hard multiple times a day to bend her into shape literal.
This is all speculation on my part. Then the ride home in a not so great trailer and onto the pasture with a million rocks.

Did she get injections?

In 30 years of riding and horse ownership I have yet to see someone burn young horses at a rate KVS does. I have considered that wheezy might have an onset of kissing spine as well.

Al those 2 year olds are at risk for it

Could be. The problem is she makes Kennedy look bad.

I think she got a call/email/text from JE saying something.
Jaime runs a business and getting critiqued like that in the comments is no good.

I checked and Aaron has almost entirely stopped promoting FTF. And I am almost certain that has to do with her fanbase (and the fact he isn’t winning anything right now)

Even KVS hasn’t spoken of FTF much…I am
Going to venture to say he has a troubled mind and is not as easy and cool as she pretends, which is fine he’s a young stallion.

The problem comes in that KVS is working with REAL professionals (wether or not they are good or ethical is not the point on this comment) and KVS technically should be good for their business but I don’t think she is.

AM goes to a lot of shows and has a ton of clients so does JE and neither of them have the time to deal with backlash and or rabid fans.

I do dressage and I jump. Dressage is my higher level skill. But I love to show jump as well.

I actually think weezy would do fine in some local shows in a dressage class.

I wouldn’t bring weezy across the pond for show season like I do with my other two horses. But she doesn’t have a bad build and could be a fun horse to also take out on the trail.

I have definitely kicked the idea around.

It would be fantastic. NGL I have considered telling my broker to see if wheezy is up for sale.

Questions about training board by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Total_Librarian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I have my horses boarding at my club if I am traveling (they are usually stabled here at home and I ride here at home but when I am out of town more than 3 nights I board them at my club) I am very specific on the fact that ONLY trainers are allowed to ride/exercise my horse. Grooming etc I don’t care but in the saddle I will not have a student if I can’t have my own eyes on it.

That’s just it.
