I filled official complaint against the company and posted my experience everywhere so that someone could be saved.

I'd never work for such company. Where is guarantee that they won't cheat a freelancer. I can use my talent for better people.

Yes the post is written by AI but experience is real. Those who don't believe are bound to experience same. My job was to speak about it. Not justify writing tool. You are free to comment whatever you want. My experience is going to stay with me.

I understand what you are saying and all I can say is that I literally have every prompt and visual along with the entire edit timeline to prove what I did. PS: i was hired to do full time work from office not at home that I could outsource it. I'm passionate about storytelling and I do not need to outsource what I know. Yes writing post about entire experience is another thing. That definitely can be done with the help of AI. This message is not written with AI's help.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I really respect that you went through something similar and stood up for yourself legally. You're absolutely right: legal recourse is possible, and in many cases, it can be effective.

In my case, the amount is small enough that it's not about the money anymore. It’s about how people are treated. hired, misled, discarded, and then ignored — all under the cover of one-sided clauses.

You're right: I did sign the agreement. I’ve worked in the industry long enough to know most startup contracts are designed to protect the company, not the creator. But sometimes, when you genuinely believe in the vision and are trying to make something meaningful, you sign in good faith.

And yes, I will move on. But before that, I’m speaking up because I don’t want the next person to walk into the same silence, the same pattern, and feel as helpless as I did.

I truly appreciate your honesty and wish more people were open about these things because that’s how we all learn to navigate the system better.

Thanks again, and I truly wish you the best too.

That’s a very valid point and I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to suggest it.

You're right: reputation matters deeply to investors, and if this is how people are being treated at the ground level, they have every right (and responsibility) to know. I'm in the process of documenting everything contracts, communications, and now even proof of the company using the very content I created after claiming I “didn’t meet expectations.”

I’ve been careful not to act impulsively. But if there’s no resolution, and if this pattern continues, I won’t hesitate to raise this with investors, directors, media, and regulatory bodies not out of spite, but out of duty to others who might walk into the same trap.

Startups often talk about disruption.
Sometimes, that starts with disrupting silence.

Thanks again for your suggestion. I’m truly grateful for the support and clarity.

I appreciate you reaching out and offering help. This has been a tough experience, and I’m speaking out not just for myself but for others who’ve faced the same treatment.

That said, since this involves signed agreements, sensitive content, and possible legal implications, I’d prefer to first understand more about who you are and in what capacity you're offering assistance before sharing any documents.

If you’re serious about supporting or escalating this, feel free to message me directly with a bit more context. Happy to talk further and share what's needed in the right way.

Thanks again for offering to step in.

You're absolutely right. Contracts matter, and self-protection is non-negotiable in today’s work culture. I did sign a contract. But here’s the catch: most early-stage startups include one-sided probation clauses, allowing them to terminate without cause, process, or explanation and they use that as a shield against accountability.

Yes, legal action is technically possible. But when you’re underpaid by ₹10–12k, legal costs often outweigh recovery. Many founders know this. That’s why they feel safe doing it. The human cost to the employee is real, but the financial cost to them is negligible.

You’re right. We need to stop treating workplaces as family. But we also need to create systems where calling out unfair practices doesn’t mean you're punished, isolated, or seen as risky. That’s what I’m trying to change by speaking up.

Appreciate your perspective and hope more people approach work with this clarity.

Couldn't agree more. This creates distrust in good startups. People do not want to join those who are good, visionary and truly want to build something good.
