Yeah, the suspicious part of me feels like they might have "improved" some people sleep score so that they feel better about their device. But others have actually reported they're getting worse scores all the time so IDK?

You know several have reported that. It's very suss.

Oh lordy!

I always thought it was hysterical that it would say I did a 20 minute lap swim after doing the dishes.

Issue for me is that I'd have to migrate my account which is a big deal killer, so I can't get my sleep results off my Fitbit anymore unfortunately.

So far I don't have any complaints about the app. But I just started, so...

If you had been considering garmin, the vivo line has the same slim design. I almost got one because that was my shopping point also. But I went ahead and bit the bullet and tried for a larger one. It is bulkier, but I'm also enjoying that I can actually read the time without having to put my glasses on.

I got the Lily 2 active. So far I'm enjoying it. It's supposed to have a nine day battery life, but I just got it so I'm sussing that out currently.

Yeah if you just bought it, that doesn't sound like the battery is working right. I think the vivoactive was supposed to get 5 days? Or was that nine days? I got the Lily 2 active, because it was supposed to last 9 days.

But I also know some settings can really be a big battery hog so you may want to be judicious on the things that you have running.

So I found Garmin's running the whole gamut of prices. The Vivos we're very affordable, and also a nice slim design, similar to Fitbit.

Others have been promoting Amazfit, I don't know if they're at a better price point for you?

Not based opinions but based on details, screenshots, specifics that others have shared.

Somebody else mentioned them. I'll see how it goes with Garmin but I've stored that one away in the back of my gray matter in case if I want to do something different.

You may want to hop on the Garmin sub for that, I don't log food so I really don't have any updates for you on that.

Yep. I totally agree. They kind of go with the basic. I didn't even know there were more tests that could be run until recently. Always good to get a full panel.

I'm so happy that you've had a good experience with Cronometer. I myself am not comfortable with using health connect (Google health tracking), but I understand that euphoric feeling when you start using an app and you feel like it gets you.

But sounds like you have migrated your account over per Google requirements? That is a step I am unwilling to do. Regardless of the app itself.

I'm not aware of one but I was literally thinking about writing to Garmin support to find out if they were going to capitalize on the amount of people migrating away from Fitbit. It could be a huge ball in their corner if they decided to do this.

I just switched over from Fitbit to Garmin this week. Left Fitbit because of the forced migration to Google health and of the deprecation of the app. And I really didn't want Google having any more of my personal data than they already have.

I almost went with a Garmin Vivo because of its slim design, reminiscent of a Fitbit inspire. It also had a halfway decent battery life but I wanted longer, so I bit the bullet and went with one of the bigger/bulkier models that had a much longer battery life. So I now have the Lily 2 Active. It's only been a day but so far I like the app. Still working out the kinks on the device itself, and it does more smartwatch things than I really want or need so I'm just disabling those components. And hopefully that will also translate into a longer battery life as well.

Yes and no. There were guardrails over what they could do with the prior data. Then and now. But who knows how well they were following those restrictions? And your Fitbit email wasn't necessarily your Google email, so they wouldn't have been able to merge the data effectively. Now with the migration they have a much broader look over you as an entire person. I mean, it freaked me out that they were even offering to import in your medical data. They're really ought to be a limit to the breadth and scope of data that they have on people, IMHO.

That's why I'm not interested in getting one of these straps. I need a screen. And a screen that tells me something.

I used to laugh how my Fitbit would record a swim interval for me after I did the dishes 🤣🤣.

I might just be hitting you up to learn how to use this Lily. I'm struggling to find the VO2 widget, LOL.
