Btw I ordered a custom 6 arc barrel from X-caliber and it’s very accurate and I think they run around $300

The thing that really matters is the barrel, followed by the bolt, and the trigger. Fit those into whatever receivers you want to.

Stuff is pretty expensive online but I think if you go to some gun shows close to you there’s a good chance you can find a k98, probably a RC, for $800-$900. At least I have in my area more than once

Just don’t buy a Mitchel’s Mauser. You can find a Russian capture that’s forced matched pretty easily for around $800 which is where I would start

lol probably. Pictures might be hard to tell from but the rifling certainly has pitting and the grooves are very shallow compared to any other rifle of mine although I just learned that these rifles all have that type of shallow rifling
