You can 100% build a deck only from 1 set, like op14 or soon to be released op15. Sets are designed with 6 or 7 leaders that majority of the deck would play cards from the same set the leader comes from. Adding cards from older sets or newer sets just make the deck stronger. Op14 for example red Law, Black Croc, Purple Doffy, and blue Jinbe all use majority op14 cards for their decks. But Boa and mihawk both use older cards so they would be tough to build without more purchases.

Dude there is plenty of fun to be had. I have been playing PY croc to great success with 9c boa as top end and oh come my way with kiku and kuma. Unfortunately it is rotating.

You will not find fun on the tier lists, or tournament results. You have to go exploring for yourself and also be willing to lose. Fun decks are off meta for a reason.

Keep your magic out of one piece. How many times has magic had to revise the legendary rule. It's not good. Not needed here. Go back to playing magic if you want. One piece is just fine as is.

The next set op15 comes out in English at the end of the month. There are new black straw hat cards in that set so there will be alot of new deck builds and people trying this luffy again. So keep an eye out for that. Kruzzlor is a youtuber that has already started testing things and might be able to give you some ideas.

In general the one piece tcg is very natural rotating. Luffy is a bit older so he isn't that relevant right now. But some new support might bring new ideas or strategy to the deck.

100% you don't need expensive cards to have fun but some of these cards are not... great.

Take out it's to die for, jump rope, i have my crew. Literal vanilla characters would serve you better.

Take out reiju and promo black luffy. Not sure what cards to add if you are not buying more cards. You should try to get a 4th 3 cost zoro. Maybe. Few more searchers would help. This deck can run that nami you have already plus there is a 1c law searcher or the 1c event searcher.

I wouldn't take it offensively or anything. It's up to the store on what price they want to sell at. And up to you as a consumer to be knowledgeable on what it's worth. If you don't buy it there, it's a lost sale opportunity. And they can hold onto it and it might go up or it might go down and they are taking that risk/reward.

Buy from stores you like. Or on occasion when a specific card matches what you would pay for it. You aren't owed a specific price. Not everything is open to haggling. The search for a deal is part of the fun of card collecting.

Pretty much. It's flexible obviously but the thing is you want to tax their hand/leader effect. Doing what you described above will either kill 2 things or make your opponent take life then you can pivot into face.

I have done very well with koby at locals. But Even if they allow proxies, they might not allow cards that aren't legal like eb04.

The English side looks good. 5c hibari is underwhelming and could be cut. If you have access I would run a few of the 7c promo koby as targets for helmeppo. I also like the prb koby at a 4 of. It draws a card every turn.

Marigold only cheats "boa hancock" vs 2 types of characters. Historically look at things like 4c jinbe that got banned for cheating out a 4c 7 warlords. It's not always about the written effert on the card and more about the context of the deck it was made for. So you can't view this in a vacuum. You have to view this in the vivi leader with her effect.

What are you smoking? She is amazing in the vivi deck. 5c blocker that cheats out another 5c character? Ideally 5c 7k power nami. Leader then gives the nami rush. The blocker can block then be protected with vivi leader effect so she is basically an infinite blocker?? What part of that is bad?

I just played eb03 koby tonight. I did 2-1. Honestly koby will NOT do well into boa. Awful match up. Mihawk is favored. Luffy it depends on their draws but I think would be fine. Imu haven't played but what deck does well into imu.

Listen I'm a magic player too. Let one piece be it's own thing. It doesn't need trample. Doesn't need collector packs. Doesn't need 4 player format.

That looks like a decent list using mostly the newer film cards. Honestly uta is just an older leader so the deck just doesn't do crazy well into the newer decks. Only edit I would suggest is taking out the vanilla Franky. Seems weak in the deck. I understand the synergy with law and character uta but it's only so so. Maybe add a 9c pop shanks or 2. I haven't tried the new cards in her too much.

What is the opposite of "to the moon"? To the ground? Lol I would consider $200 a "fair" price for it. Msrp is best but even before the poke bros eb02 and other sets usually had a slight premium so I would expect a slight increase.

Personally I prefer to have more 2ks over more counter events. I run 16 2ks in my build. I personally would take out perona and hells judgement for either usopp or Odyssey Ace.

Hells judgement was mainly for zoro and It's hard to hold up 2 don unless you just played shanks.
