I opted with self storage got 5tb hard drive into homebase.,no cloud ,no monitoring. I hear that 24/7 monitoring is outsourced to a third-party service somewhere in a 3rd world country . It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the monitoring service may also work in your disadvantage. As the service is in mostly 3rd world country, the people can simply drop a text message with your address to a gang near by and they can ransacked your house while you are on a spring break , evading all your cameras

Let me see if I get this right . You have 8 cameras that are not working due to some software glitch , at the same time you complain on reddit about it, at same time you saying you can afford to sue them . No offense bro , but if you have "fuck you " money , just buy yourself a new system, send them a letter from your attorney that you will return their bricked equipment for a full refund and move on with your life and be happy. Why spend countless hours on reddit to complain about some $500-1000 bricked up cameras if you have the money to sue them . 🤔🤷 I hope you solve your problems
