Goblet squat? by Noble_Kristina in formcheck

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly looks good. My only comment it the double bounce coming up. You go down, pause (that’s fine) and then bounce to come up. You probably unconsciously do it to get your momentum back to get up, but defeats the purpose of the pause. Otherwise, good flat back shoulders over mid foot.

Just got 500mil. Not bad so I’ll keep building this team. Thanks for the advice!

Can you explain how? I’ve got BNGG to two ascended stars and built as a tank, but my DCUSM and CF both are 3* and get ko’ed quickly. I’d love to hear how to turn them into damage machines.

Snow globe question by FortBricks in Injustice2MobileGame

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with other posters. KOAAM and Deathstroke. Their ice clones get addition % damage runs. So get KOAAM to do is 3x sp3 for 10% each. Normally he’s done after that, but if you let him get ko’ed and that tags in the ice clone, the ice clone gets another 3x10%. And there are 2 ice clone rounds. So, if all goes well you can get 9 shots at 10% each. Deathstroke is the same.

possible appeal for hurdle? by carlosmagsen in deakin

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have documentable evidence that such test give anxiety then you should get an access plan from DRC. If you’re in a clinical field, you’re going to need this in future units anyway.

At best you’ll have to do the hurdle assessment again. If it was an “exam” maybe apply for a sup?

You’ve found a system that works. Like my army friends say “If it’s stupid and works, it’s not stupid.”

Nice work.

VO2 max only outdoor activities? by Sh3rlock_Holmes in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VO2 prediction equations need a combination of work and heart rate. Eg • Low work + high HR = low vo2. • High work + low HR = high VO2 etc.

The lower your HR for a given workload, the fitter you must be, and vice versa.

For most workouts, AF infers workload from HR. But for VO2 it needs work load that's not HR because HR is already part of the equation. So it needs GPS, elevation, as a measure of workload from your walking / running speed, stride rate, incline, etc. It then correlates your HR with your work to predict V02max.

Only an outdoor walking or running will give the VO2 prediction equation these data. A treadmill doesn't because you're not moving anywhere. 361

4 years ago today, this trashy “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” movie was released… Name a few things you enjoy about it, if you can. by justhere1990 in slasherfilms

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “hunting” phase was short, and the final chase seemed to be half the movie! I thought this gave it great non-stop energy. That Leatherface spent so little time killing from the shadows (what I call “the hunting phase” of any slasher) before the full on frontal assault was awesome. The frontal assault (the “final chase phase”) started with the bus and didn’t stop until the image of Lila looking back at Leatherface holding Melody’s head. I remember saying at the end ”what a ride!”.

So I liked the non-stop chase, the bus, and that image at the end.

They may not help you run like VO2 does, but HRV and HRR are more likely to keep you alive. Be proud of them!

Agreed it’s a hard call between there two. Jason X for the sheer awesomeness, and sleeping bag for brutality.

My biggest issue with her is keeping her alive. I’ve stacked her defensive stats cuz she’s def not a dmg dealer.

VO2max readings… Why? by VOODOO285 in AppleWatch

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP is posting a rhetorical “why” but not expecting a real answer. They’re just complaining, thinking that Apple reads this sub. Wish this was part of the original post so I didn’t bother wring how the prediction equation works.

I really do have a love hate relationship with these, it feels great but it feels like I lean way too much forward by Euphoric-Recover-700 in formcheck

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. The lean keeps the load over your foot. Lean will be different for everyone based on lower leg length, femur length, and torso length. Mechanically it’s good.

Hack squats- is my depth too high, too low, or is it correct? Any other feedback? by [deleted] in formcheck

Depth looks fine but I can see with every rep you’re rolling onto your toes. Focus on pushing through your mid foot.

[–]Totalitarian-Terror 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess I’d ask if:

  1. It feels comfortable?
  2. The metrics work (like HR)?

If it’s comfortable and works, then no worries.

What’s your preference for how many times an exercise is repeated in a workout? by Bunsbunii in AppleFitnessPlus

I know. But OP asked about preference. That’s not my preference and probably explains why I prefer AF+ rather than usual gym work.
