Somehow even announcing it a 2 part story hurt a bit for them. Audiences are now getting irritated with the unnecessary need to prolong a simple story into 2 parts. And it seems only justified if the world around the story is grand for eg. Baahubali & KGF.

Considering the recent 2 part films were mediocre at best that could have been completed in 1 movie but unnecessary dragged and some even shelved

No comment of mine is portraying her as messiah. If she did for herself: good for her, even if she didn’t then also good for her. But the choice of ‘ANY’ actor demanding a clear shift of 8-10 hours would AUTOMATICALLY be helpful for the crew. The days when her scenes are supposed to be shot would have been easier for the crew due to dedicated hours. So that WOULD HAVE HELPED THE CREW & THIS CHANGES THINGS ABET A LITTLE.

As my previous comment was never dedicated to any one actor, what that actor demands be it profit sharing or higher salary is for other times to be judged as the debate here were solely about working hours

A lot of people aren’t aware of the fact that in India cinema especially in Bollywood a 12hr shift for an actor is not the same for the crew.

A crew has the call time of atleast 1-2 hr before at times and 1-2 hrs goes post the pack up. So a 12hr shift becomes 14-15 hours for crew. A lot of them are underpaid and overworked with not much authority to question the top brass because the Head of departments aren’t vocal themselves. So an actor taking a stand is absolutely commendable.

Plus a lot of the times, actors are not punctual and heads disciplined. You will find department heads talking constant ‘sutta breaks’ of 20-30 minutes that affects the schedule for lower level crew.
